Chase your dreams.
I'll be honest: I never really thought I'd have a career in competitive cycling. I figured being overweight, not particularly interested in bicycling, and not owning a bike since I was 12 pretty much disqualified me. But it turns out there's a burgeoning market for people who are not hopped up on steroids and bovine thalamus extract or whatever the kids are taking these days, because pretty much everyone who cycles currently is on that stuff.
So I'm practicing now with my Schwinn 120 Upright Bike. I figure that's pretty much the same thing as practicing in the mountains of France, right? And more importantly, with the playing field pared down to basically me and my neighbor, I like my odds.

Top Comments are discussion forum posts we have deemed worthy of your time. Listen, we get a lot of comments, and most of the time, it's pretty forgettable stuff; but sometimes you rise to the top like butterfat in milk. We don't recommend you base your self-worth on how often we feature your comments, but we don't expressly forbid it either.
