Good solid rangefinder at a reasonable price

This is my fourth rangefinder, having had two breakdown and losing a third. All i needed is one that provides accurate distances (slope function is nice but wasn't a requirement) and not a lot of bells and whistles offered by the higher end units. This one work well. It's nice and compact and fits well in my hands. It zeroes in the pin better than my two previous rangefinders and does so very quickly. The numbers in the viewfinder are easy to read. Good value . . . pleased with this purchase.

Worked until it didn't.

Great product. Until it wasn’t. Device performed as described. And then after 2 yrs, 4 months didn’t. Nothing. Switched from one new battery to another new batter. Reset negative contact spring, adjusted positive contact ring. Re-sealed battery cap. Pressed and held. Nothing.. Stopped working. No drops. No water. No extreme temperatures Standard, normal use three times per week. Since it’s outside return or support, called the support line anyway. No solutions. Other than a coupon code to order another one. Why would I do that?
