DON'T ASSUME THEY AREN'T GETTING WARM!
By Review on Reviewed in the United States on December 15, 2023
Just like the hand warmers from this company, I was thinking they weren't getting that warm when in reality they were (per actually readings). In reality you don't want these too far above your body temp or of course you risk burns. Also with feet, due to circulation issues some may not realize it is warm.I first tried these outdoors at a restaurant by a fire pit. My toes ALWAYS get cold (as I wear gym shoes with great breathability). With these though, while my legs were cold (I was wearing capri workout leggings like an idiot) my toes never did! Yet when I pulled the warmer off of my sock, it didn't feel that warm to touch. The second time I tried, I also tried with same shoes but one warmer attached to the sock versus one attached to the inside of the shoe on top. When putting on the inside top of the shoe, you also remove some of that air flow that I think these tend to work off of. In either case, both registered from 98/99 degree (one that one on inside top of shoe) to approx 100-102 (one I stuck to the top of my sock). Also, the heat/material doesn't distribute evenly and why the rating difference on same warmer. Despite these looking like maxi pads for your toes ;) the fact they have an adhesive backing is wonderful for application so it isn't moving around in your shoes.Overall, I say a win! Easy application and easy compact package to keep in bag/purse/car/etc. These would make a great stocking stuffer as well!

They fit great but I could not get consistent heat out of them.

I have tested a several different hand and foot warmers but these Cascade Mountain foot warmers just didn't make the cut. The construction is great, they are the right shape, stick well and you hardly notice they are there. Unfortunately, I could not get them to throw off the heat I expected. I have test rig I have used before, a plastic bag with 1/4 cup of water in a glove with a wireless temperature sensor. That simulates the real world application of a hand or foot warmer pretty well. I put my test unit outside at about 0 F and the temperature probe recorded the temperature going down steadily. Other warmers I have tested show a temperature reduction then plateau for several hours until exhausted. Not so with these Cascade Mountain warmers. Maybe I got a bad box but my this batch just did not show effective warming.
