A camping must have

I was looking for a carry bag for all my camping lately. I was using a Costco insulation bag but since it is all just a big bag I found that the crackers and stuff I would pack for an overnite trip would open up and break apart. With this backpack I like the pockets that my scout son can use for his mess kit and all the little pickets for condiments and snack items. It is large enough to keep items that don't need to be refrigerated but is better off cool and a bit insulated from the heat of a tent like S'mores chocolate and gummy bears. The backpack straps are well cushioned and even though I never plan on taking this on a long range excursion, it is nice to have when hiking from your car to a site which can be quite cumbersome with just a handled bag. The material seems like it will hold up, I am a touch concerned about the plastic liner and anything sharp but really I am not planning on using it with direct ice or anything so not a huge deal. Cool bag, can't beat the price

Bought this on June 21st for a 4th of July beach week. I'll give it 1 star for delivery but that is where the positives end. It sat in my house for a week waiting to be used. I got to the beach on June 29th. Loaded the cooler with drinks and ice and started walking to the beach. Immediately felt something cold and wet on my back. Surely it couldn't be from my brand new back pack cooler. I looked up to see if water was dropping on me from a tree. Nope..dry as can be so I kept walking. Got to the beach, set the cooler down and began my vacation. At the end of the day I picked it up and put on my back. The sand was wet under the bag. No way my brand new backpack cooler could cause that. One of the kids must have spilt their water. Get back to the room and start unloading the remaining drinks. Soon as I got them out and dumped the ice in the sink I Immediately saw a huge rip in the inner liner.. pictures included. Luckily I still have a week on my return. Normally I would give the product the benefit of doubt and assume I had bad luck. I would send back and wait for a new one. Unfortunately the beach season is over so if I order a replacement, I wouldn't use it for almost a year. Sending this thing back for a full refund.
