I bought this sleeping bag specifically for outdoor use and chose it based on the listed comfort rating of 46°F. Since I didn’t plan to use it in colder temps, I figured it would be perfect. It arrived today, and I tested it right away by sleeping in a tent in my backyard. It’s currently 57°F, and I’d say that’s pretty much the true comfort limit. I’m not cold, but I’m definitely not warm either. Honestly, a few degrees warmer would feel just right. So while the bag is comfortable, well-made, and the zipper works great, I would not recommend it for temps near or below 50°F. In my opinion, the realistic comfort range is closer to 57–60°F, which isn’t all that warm. If you’re looking for something to keep you cozy in cold weather, you’ll want to look elsewhere.
