Fun little game
By Nanciejeanne on Reviewed in the United States on July 30, 2022
My son saw some people playing this at the beach and wanted it for our yard. I wasn't sure about it as they looked big and clumsy to store. But this ones folds in half and has am included bag so it is very simple! I did have to readjust the velcro to make the net taut enough a few times, but I wasn't really sure how it worked. The directions were simple and you probably could figure it out even without them. The instructions did say to insert some sort of pin in a hole, but I didn't get any pins. My box was pretty beat up when it arrived, so maybe they got lost. We use it without the pins, but I imagine it is to keep the frame solidly open (it folds for storage.) I may try to look around to see if I have any sort of shelf support pins or those little wood dowels that come with diy furniture to use instead. Maybe I could contact the manufacturer to see if they can send me the missing pieces. The writing on the box has some odd words and it seems like it was written by someone whose first language wasn't English. And there are odd little cartoon like characters on the legs of the game that I could live without. Both are fine though...it doesn't affect the game at all. You assemble the frame the first time, attach the net, slide the legs on and inflate the balls. That's it. To store you just remove the legs and fold it, you don't have to reattach all the pieces or the net (though it may take some adjustment to get it as taut as you want.) The balls do come deflated, but they include a pump. We played it even indoors without really "spiking" and it was fun. It is a little more active when you really spike the ball outdoors though. It is really a fun game for my family. I am sure there are more "professional" type sets, just like any game, but this is more than fine for some fun.

Poor Man's Spikeball
By Shane Windham on Reviewed in the United States on July 20, 2022
If you're looking to save about $10 over the real deal, this isn't the worst option. It does, however, have plenty of shortcomings you may wish you'd been aware of. So let's walk them. An official set has 5 evenly-spaced feet, whereas this only has 3, and they're oddly spaced (2-2-1 for bar spacing, making this somewhat wobbly, and more prone to favor spikes in certain spots). This also a whopping 16 velcro straps to secure (they're a tight fit, akin to securing a trampoline net), and it doesn't offer net coverage all the way to the rim like the original product design does. The feet are easy to get on, but (because of the non-locking folds, and angled pin mechanisms) everything else about this is a chore to put together/take apart (it will take 5-15 minutes, depending). The "LIMERLO" branding is ugly and overdone, plus the "FUTURE GAMES KING" mascot thing on the legs makes this look like a cheap child's toy (you can paint over both of these things though). There's also no way to store the unit without taking it completely apart, net and all. And, while I appreciate that the push-pin tools can be stored on the frame, there are sections of metal jutting into the net section, which should really have been designed as downward-facing instead (the way they are in other spots on the frame). This isn't a horrible product though, to be clear. It functions pretty well, comes with 3 balls and a pump, is quite solidly designed, and offers up a good carrying bag. All this to say that you can have a decent enough approximation to the true Spikeball experience here if you're looking exclusively to save some money on the list price of the original. While my recommendation for most people would be to go for the superior product (spending a bit more), this inferior product isn't something you'll break with ease; it gets the job done, and all of the bad branding can be covered by anyone looking to make this their own. It's definitely not a genuine Spikeball experience. But it's not bad.
