ReadyWise Dehydrated Apple Chips

Most of the product reviews on this listing address blueberries. Apparently, they are well regarded. Unfortunately, I ordered the freeze dried apples. These apple chips are small, brown, chopped, dense, skin-on, unsweet little disappointments of a snack. There are other choices for freeze dried apples that are so, so much better. At around $2.50 per ounce these are cheaper than the $3.50 per ounce alternatives I've tried. But if you are looking for a nice snack instead of a post-apocalyptic nutrition source, spend the extra buck. At the time of this writing, the listing shows 3 images of fresh half-apple slices, one image of white, dried (maybe) quarter-apple chips, and one image of what might look like dried sliced muchroom caps. The product I received was closer to the mushroom image. I also ordered their whole freeze dried whole raspberries, which are nice. I imagine the blueberries are nice as well, leading to the 4.4 out of 5 rating of the product line overall. Just don't expect that rating to apply to all of the offerings grouped into this product line. I'm throwing out the apple slices.
