Everyday Essentials 2" Olympic Bumper Plate 10lb

i just got the plates in so this is a initial review. the boxes were delivered pretty much destroyed and were being held together by the straps. the plates didn't seem damaged or nicked but i'll look closer when i start using them more frequently. the steel inserts did have rust spots on both plates i ordered so who knows if they were actually brand new (as i ordered), also i have bumper plates from another company and they were shipped covered in oil to help protect the plates so that's another indication that the plates i ordered were probably not in new condition b/c the plates were dry when i took the plastic off. i also did an informal weighing and 1 plate was 43.8 lbs and the other was 44.6 lbs, so i think that's -3% and -1% difference from the stated weight but if i wanted SUPER accurate weight i would order calibrated plates which would NEVER be sold for $50. i just need something that'll do the job and for $50 this weight % off is alright more or less. even if i was disappointed, i couldn't return the plates due to the boxes being destroyed so i'll just live with it unless the weights cause such an imbalance while using it that it becomes dangerous, if that happens, i'll just use them 1 at a time w/ my landmine attachment on my squat stand. so as of right now, i took 1 star off for the rust spots and 1 star off for the -3% inaccuracy on 1 of the plates. if anything comes up after i start using the plates, i'll update my review but more than likely the star rating won't change.
