I received a new 12 WT fly reel it was very attractive and looked well made. I purchased it for salt water fishing bull red fish. When I received it it was not damaged but the drag did not work and could not be adjusted. The drag is the key to fighting those big fish so I had to return the reel.

SPOOL UNEXPECTEDLY DETACHED FROM SPOOL. This happened with the spool knob seemingly frozen in place and could not be unscrewed.Fit, finish and tolerances seemed great UNTIL THIS HAPPENED.
