The best trail running shoes on the market for the price today
By Amazon Customer on Reviewed in the United States on May 15, 2022
These shoes can do it all, walking, daily wear, running trails, running roads, hiking hills& mountains, crossing through streams. The tread design is incredible. The grip is like an all terrain knobby tires on your jeep. The rock shield is flexible material inside the sole of the shoe like kevlar and it protects you from sticks/rocks poking through the shoe bottom. The DNA loft 2 is firm, firmer than a comfy road shoe, but it feels good when I run, more supportive than my Brooks ghosts. The fit is a little snug in the heel and forefoot, the toe box is roomy for me with a medium width , foot on the narrower side of medium. The lacing system is great, you get extra holes to run the laces back through like a runners knot, the elastic keepers will hold your laces so you dont get caught on branches. There are velcro keepers at the heel for gaiters to attach. I will be using these mostly in the wet/snowy new England winters. The gore tex will keep me dry and comfortable. Great shoes, Brooks really dominates the shoe market in 2022 and these trail shoes were well engineered and worth the money. I give them 5 stars.

Quality, not comfortable.
By Amazon Customer on Reviewed in the United States on August 31, 2022
I own a pair of cascadia's, thought the Goretex lined one's would be good for El Camino in Spain. Ordered the GTX model, looked great.....I noticed a few things:1. Foam padding on tongue is a lot less than regular model2. Because of less foam on tongue and smaller width I developed a irritation on top of my foot from the eyelet that had a small build up of material around it.3. I could feel the seam of the Goretex lining across the top of the shoe where it meets the laces.I was surprised to see this in such an expensive shoe. This isn't going to work for short hike muchless taking on El Camino de Santiago.Returned the shoes and ordered a new pair of regular Cascadia's. They fit fine , plenty of foam in the tongue. No other issues.
