I’m “Over the Moon” over the Horizon Balance Ball Trainer!
By Linda M. on Reviewed in the United States on October 16, 2021
As a ‘young’ boomer I have to say this Lifepro Horizon Balance Ball Trainer is terrific! Older adults have to choose their workout equipment wisely due to flexibility and balance restrictions, but this exercise half ball will allow us seniors to make that decision easy. This ball is helping me improve MY health at MY pace and will make me stronger and more vibrant, in the process. I know…I did the research and have also used similar half balls in physical therapy! Here are just some of the features I’ve noticed: • The nubs have it - non slip ‘nubs’ provide a stable, textured surface to stand on • Inflation tool is the fasted hand held inflation tool around! I inflated the half ball and yoga ball in a couple minutes! • Ball is light, easy to lift and move, compact in size • Easy to follow instructions and large workout chart shows precise visuals of suggested exercises • Use with other Lifepro products and get multiple benefits – I first step onto my Lifepro Rumblex Plus Vibration Plate to loosen up my muscles and joints, then I do a short workout on my new Lifepro Horizon Balance Ball. I am amazed at how energized I feel after just a few minutes on this compact “half moon” ball! • Attach your own resistance bands for additional exercise choices – or, you can purchase these bands on the Lifepro website www.lifeprofitness.com under the Shop ---> Accessories tab. • Improves my balance, stability and flexibility - My ankles and knees already feel stronger after using this half ball only a short time! My favorite move is to place the yoga ball between my knees and slowly squat, hold, and rise again (while focusing on a picture on the wall to keep me in balance). I also like using the resistance bands to build my upper body. A few Precautions for the Boomer generation (and younger others, too): • Wear shoes, socks, or bare feet – just use caution with socks slipping on hard floors. I use my unit with bare feet or socks to get a better “feel” of the ball, on my carpeted floor. • Do be careful mounting/dismounting - position the ball near a chair or a wall to catch you if you lose your balance, especially at first! Having a chair handy is very helpful when getting up off the unit from a seated position, too. • For bad knees...step onto and off ball with your good knee first to avoid pain or instability issues. You’ll learn the best exercises for your situation. • Keep the goal in mind – your goal is to hold certain positions while forcing your muscles to be stable. I like to focus on an item on a wall in front of me. The focus helps me to stabilize myself, works like a charm. I think the Horizon Balance Ball is far above the competition due to all the reasons I stated. Plus, I love their customer service team because they’re very helpful and courteous to me...hard to find nowadays. I’m so impressed with this product and I know other boomers will feel the same. In fact, your whole family will enjoy it too! I know mine does...

Could Not Inflate With Pump Or Straw, Pump Fell Apart, Broke, Grease Went All Over The Place
By Jack Dawson on Reviewed in the United States on October 25, 2022
I discovered these BOSU balls or yoga half balls or whatever you want to call them at a physical therapy visit. After using one there I decided to buy one. I didn't want to get the cheapest thing around for fear of it being junk and I didn't want to dish out $200 for the BOSU pro. I ended up ordering this one from Amazon Warehouse in "LIKE NEW" condition. When this item arrived, it was in the original packaging, the box was beat up and looked as though it had been opened before, the items taken out of the box and put back in. Other than that it looked like it was in "like new" condition. I took everything out of the box and tried to pump up the ball. After pumping for at least 20 minutes it seemed like nothing was happening. I put my fingers by the tip of the pump to see if the pump seemed to be working. I could feel air coming out so it seemed that the pump was working OK. When I inserted the pump in the ball to try to pump it up, sometimes I could pump the pump and other times it would stick so I couldn't pump it. When I had difficulty I looked around online to see if there were any solutions to that. It seemed like people would twist the pump, put it in at an angle and generally move it around to get it to work to pump air into the bladder. After about an hour of trying to get this thing pumped up and getting nowhere, the pump just fell apart and grease went all over the place. In case of pump failure or maybe just as an alternative to the pump, there are a couple straws included that can be inserted where the tip of the pump goes. Insert the straw, blow into it and blow up the ball. I couldn't blow up the ball because the airway seemed to be blocked. I wiggled the straw around and tried it at different angles until it bent. There was still no air in the bladder. At that point I gave up! This will be going back to Amazon. I decided not to mess with cheap exercise balls like this and have instead ordered something direct from BOSU. I will note again that the one I ordered was from Amazon Warehouse but was listed in "LIKE NEW" condition and it did look pretty much like new except for the crumpled papers inside and the beat up shipping box. Someone else probably had the same issue I did, couldn't get it to inflate and returned it. From other reviews it looks like other people have had better luck than I did. Hopefully an actual BOSU will be better than this one. If you are ordering one of these balls, I'd suggest spending more for something better than this.
