This is a really nice basic sleeping bag for temps down to 25 degrees. With a blanket, even lower. It comes in a nice carrying bag with a rain guard. The rain guard is attached and very easy off and on. Pull out the sleeping bag and it is longer than many, which I prefer. I am 5'10" and sometime I am "hitting bottom with mummy bags and no room to move as much as I would prefer. This is a slightly wider type of mummy bag, so you have more foot room and I love it. Also since longer, there is extra room in case you want to put a warmer or a blanket in the bag. The bag zips up and seals well with the Velcro closures at the head line. So you are comfortable and covered without that "suffocating" feeling of bags that sometimes just are too much. My only complaint is the zipper did not move as smoothly up the bag as I would have liked. However, that's a minor quibble. The zipper is solid and the closure is very well made. Overall, for the price, this is a very good buy.
Best mummy-style sleeping bag my park ranger husband has tried

My husband is a park ranger and we do a lot of camping. Between his work experience and our own camping, he’s used a lot of different brands and styles of sleeping bags. In general, neither of us likes mummy-style bags, but I got this to keep in the car in case someone got stranded in the seriously cold weather in Wisconsin. Of course, we tested this out before putting it in the car and ended up happily surprised. My husband is 6’2” (and lean) and most mummy bags are too short for him to be comfortable, but this one was long enough. If fact, it was roomy in general for a mummy bag. This also has a nice little pouch in it that lets you keep something small, like a wallet, secure and close at hand while you sleep. Unfortunately, this is in the chest area, so it’s not well suited to keeping keys in. (I would have loved a little pocket at the bottom of the bag for this purpose. But that’s JustMe. (I received this product in exchange for an honest review, and that is what I have offered here.)
Kind of a surprise...

I don't normally look to Coleman for items I would take into the wilderness. They're more of a car-camping equipment manufacturer. The few Coleman items I've taken into the wilderness have either been very simple (plastic egg holder) or have broken quickly (folding camp saw). I want quality equipment camping in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, and quality is defined there by weight and durability. So I'm somewhat surprised to be commending this sleeping bag to serious campers. it's not the smallest or lightest or warmest sleeping bag out there, but it kind of hits the minimum necessary to my mind in all three areas. It can be compressed fairly well. It's not as tiny as a lightweight down bag, but it's probably more comfortable to sleep on. Initially, the zippers, compression stuff sack, fabric and design all look impressive for a Coleman. If you're not a camping equipment snob I think you may really like this sleeping bag. I plan on taking it with me into the BWCA. If it falls short of my initial impression I'll return and update this review.
Nice Sleeping Bag for the Money

We completed our first family overnight camp of the year and my song tested out this Coleman Mummy Sleeping Bag. I was pleasantly surprised by this bag since I know of Coleman as more of a budget-brand than quality outdoor outfitter. Our last Coleman sleeping bag was a disaster - bulky, the interior fabric pilled after just a few uses, terrible storage sack... you get the idea. This bag is nice and compact, unfolded neatly without fuss, has an excellent zipper, and most important of all, it kept my son warm on a night with overnight temps in the 30s. There are no weird materials for the inner liner as it uses the same material as the exterior. The sleeping bag fits easily back into its storage bag without hassle too which is maybe my favorite feature! The bag is sharp looking too with a vibrant neon green/yellow color on a teal blue. I did slip into the bag to test the dimensions and I fit easily and comfortably. I'm 5'10" but I'd imagine someone 6' would fit too. Great sleeping bag!
My son loves this sleeping bag

We like to camp and my son needed a new sleeping bag. We ordered this sleeping bag and are very pleased with it. I will say, we haven't used it outside camping yet--my son has only used it inside sleeping in our basement. The sleeping bag is very lightweight, fits great in the stuff sack. I like that the top of the sleeping bag can be tightened around the person's head to help keep them warm, the zippers are very easy to zip, the sleeping bag is very well constructed. Another thing I absolutely loved is that there is a pocket inside the sleeping bag. I think this is so useful to be able to put your glasses case, a phone, a watch, etc and not worry about it getting lost in the tent. When my son slept in the basement, he said he was too hot in the sleeping bag--our basement can get pretty cold at night, so that tells me the sleeping bag was doing its job! Overall happy with this sleeping bag and looking forward to using it on a lot of camping trips!
Attractive, Comfy, Easy to Pack

This Coleman sleeping bag is attractive in color and company. It's adequate for your average size adult or children. Temperature wise, it's probably best for mild seasons. It probably would not hold up well by itself below freezing. It rolls up and stays away in the bag quite easily. Recommended!
Comfortable mummy bag

This is a great value sleeping bag. I was impressed with the comfortable fabric that really does feel lightweight yet keep you warm. We haven't tested it in extreme temperatures yet, but it says it’s good down to 25 degrees F. The mummy style really helps keep your body heat sealed in and the ties to pull it tight around your face are a smart touch to keep cold air out. Usually I feel like I have to battle a sleeping bag to roll it up after use, but this one stuffed back into the included sack easily. A 6’ adult would fit in the bag without issue. The light weight also makes it great if you’re more than just car camping and need to lug the weight on your backpack. I got the teal/neon green color combo and it’s nice and bright and vibrant. This sleeping bag feels like we’ll be able to get years of good use out of it.
Great 3-Season Bag for teens and adults, compresses well

The Coleman Kompact sleeping bag at 25 degrees is a great 3-Season sleeping bag for mid-Atlantic regions and some, but not all backpacking. The compression sack with its belts gets it down quite tight indeed. It is lighter-weight, suitable for location-based and car-camping - it's ok for a weekend, however is not what I would bring on a week-long excursion like Philmont. It rolls and packs well, and has more padding than a down bag that is more comfortable on harsher terrain. It performs well for Spring camping with our teens, who will likely use it at least until they reach 6'. Machine washable is a huge plus with all that outdoor camping brings to a sleeping bag. This is a great sleeping bag for almost all of our teens' camping occasions at a decent price.
