Excellent Quality

We purchased this tent for our family of 4 plus one big dog. We were able to fit 2 queen air mattresses inside very comfortably with a large space in the middle. We could’ve fit a third queen mattress in the middle, but this is where we decided our large dog would need some space. My husband and o were able to put this tent together, along with the rain fly and stake down in about 10 mins. Setup was easy! This didn’t seem long to us, considering we didn’t really read the directions. It goes together just like our 6 person Skydome, which we absolutely loved and used consistently for 4 years. It’s also still in great condition. We just wanted more room to spread out now that we’re bringing our dog with us. Once our 12 person Skydome was set up, we noticed that our he airflow inside is excellent and the tent does not get stuffy. We really loved and enjoyed the functionality of having two large doors on each side of the tent and we liked that even when we zipped up the doors, the two large windows could be unzipped to still allow ventilation and airflow in the tent. We slept very comfortably at night. Again, we opened up the vents at the bottom of the sides of the tent and we kept the large windows unzipped (with the mesh up). There was LOTS of strong wind at night. The wind was very sting and consistent to the point the sound of rushing wind actually woke us up a few times. Our tent stayed put and so did our rainfly. I was happy to see how sturdy this tent was and how well it was holding up considering how large it is. We knew SOME rain was expected in the forecast during our stay, so when we woke up the next morning at 7am to the sound of rain, it wasn’t alarming. What was alarming was the fact that our weather app was telling us rain would stop in 45 mins or 50 minutes and then it would update and tell us rain was expected for another hour. I’m going to point out that we experienced 4 HOURS STRAIGHT of extreme rain, heavy wind conditions, and flooding outside of my tent, and only 3 palm sized puddles formed in the corners which were easily cleaned up with some extra towels on hand. I want to point out that our campsite area had LOTS of other campers (at least 9 other tents I could see right from my campsite). Every one of them got flooded out and some experienced 2 inches of standing water in their tent. Others had to throw away their tent…that’s how bad the wind and rain were for those 4 straight hours. THIS TENT withstood all of that!!! We are so happy with this purchase. I highly recommend this tent to anyone with a large family or any family who is just wanting some room to spread out. It’s spacious, very sturdy, stands up to heavy wind and rain, and the pricing on this thing…we paid $179 at the time of this review…the price point is unheard of. I could ONLY find this price on Amazon. I checked everywhere else. 10/10 recommend for pricing and quality.

Pop up tent collapsed! Ruined everything!
By BelTee on Reviewed in the United States on August 22, 2024
I bought this tent and only used it ONCE for a camping trip. During the trip it rained, and my tent COMPLETELY COLLAPSED and FILLED with RAIN water. I mean over 100 GALLONS of rain water was sucked out of my tent with a vacuum! All of my items in the tent got wet including my generator, clothes, grey bath towel, air mattress, sheets, blanket, and sleeping bag. Literally EVERYTHING was wet. I went to bed freezing that night! I searched for months to find the perfect tent, and I thought this was it. Little did I know that a pop up tent would be my worst mistake. The corner pole bent at one of the connections when it fell, as you can see in the picture, and the water was sitting on it. We noticed that once we lifted the tent. I was so upset I almost gave up and went home. My friends and family helped me feel better, by helping me salvage what I could and we had to sleep in the van. I thought Coleman was a good brand, but I guess not for me. Pop up tents are not the way to go. They will collapse on you while everyone else's tent around you will be standing tall. I would like a different tent, but I'm passed the return window since I bought the tent way before my camping trip. I don't know what to do. This tent is ruined and I spent hundreds only to use it once! I need a new tent! HELP.

Tent is great for summer camping, carry bag is too small

The tent is easy to set up and spacious. It has a nice number of storage pockets inside. It only has 2 windows with the other sides being mesh that is covered by the rain fly. I wish they had windows on each side despite the rainfly to keep warmth in overnight. Also, even with the "expandable" carry bag which is permanently activated by removing a strip of plastic after purchase it is very hard to fit the tent in the carry bag. Our prior tents could accommodate extra stakes and a mallet in the carry bag, not this one. We have to really press the tent to make it fit in bag. There is no extra room.
Big Tent. Lots of space. Kids loved it!

Took this tent for a weekend camping trip, which was also my kid's first camping trip and they loved it. -Lots of space inside. - I fit a queen size air bed along with a comfort cot from REI inside and still had lots of space for a family of 4. - Good amount of headroom when standing. I did not experience any bad weather so I am not able to comment on the durability but ventilation was good. - It did not feel stuffy or humid inside. - It took me about 20-30 mins to figure out how to put it together the first time and about 15-20 mins to take down, fold up, and put back in the bag. I do like how the poles are already attached and its basically "plug and play" scenario so if there was 2 people putting it up, I can see it being a 10 min or less setup and take down. The only con I would say is that the clips that hold onto the poles felt like they can break easily. I mean, nothing that a zip tie can't fix but still... Other than that, so far, the tent is great, it was comfortable, and easy. Highly recommended.

Very durable product, great bag to keep everything in. Good value for the money. Set up wasn’t as easy as I had hoped but I think it will get easier each time. It’s nice that the poles are connected. Can’t get lost and makes for easier setup. Would recommend.

We camp a ton... We've had all kinds of tents. We're usually fairly quick to get camp set up. This tent was new to us with the attached poles. It took us about 10 minutes and 3 attempts to put it up. It wasn't hard we were just making it harder than necessary. It is easy to set up once you know how. It is very large and durable. We haven't needed the rain fly yet. 3 trips in and we're loving it!

Not Your Pap's Coleman Quality

This is not the Coleman camping quality I grew up with. Nice tent overall. I like the concept. Very roomy and would be a nice tent ...if reliable. Notes: - Either instructions are horrible or mine were not packed. Had to use pictures on the box. - 1st time set up will take way much longer than 5 minutes. Once you know the process it will be much faster. - Getting rainfly on, especially in any kind of breeze, will likely take 2 people. - Set up for a trial run in the yard when we received it. There was a hole in the top of rain fly. That's important because the entire top of tent is screen mesh. It rainfly gets a hole or tear, your gear is ruined if it rains. - Tried to contact manufacturer - another company has purchased the brand. Could not get through on the number enclosed in the tent and had to send an email on mfg website to try and get new/replacement rainfly.- Two days so far and still no response. - Came out the next day to check on the tent and one of the long fiberglass support poles had snapped in 1/2 making tent useless. Will be returning. Not sure if we will risk a replacement or try to find a better brand.

We love our tent. I love having so much space for our family and our gear, not to mention being able to stand up in it! I would still recommend having a tarp under the tent since we got wet once but otherwise it’s been great for our family!
