good things never come easily

When I buy an air mattress, I only expect it to last one camping trip and then it ends up in a dumpster--I also expect to have to get out the electric/battery pump every day to replace lost air. This has lasted FIVE trips and is going strong! The interior manual pump saves me so much work. I see a lot of complaints about that section not filling with air, however I think that may have something to do with individual patience and/or perseverance levels. Many good things don't come easy. It took me 10 minutes to get it properly filled the first time, and it hasn't lost air since. Worth it! Congrats to the manufacturer for a truly innovative design! Give this air mattress a chance.

Waste of money

Followed instructions and used a tarp under to protect the mattress. First off, getting it fully inflated with its 2 step system is anything but convenient. Then it Failed after first real world use. Blew it up beforehand to allow the mattress to stretch and to test it out. Seemed to lose a some air but thought that was just part of the break in - which is basically what is printed on the side of the mattress. Used it for its actual purpose a few days later and it deflated constantly. You would have to air it back up every couple hours for it to be usable for a full night. We didn't even bother to pack it back up when we left. My husband's $12 air mattress he got worked perfectly. Both are Intex brand... we have had several intex brand mattresses without issues... this type though is not worth it.
