Pretty good weight bench for the price.

First off - this weight bench had THE BEST DIRECTIONS of anything I ever put together!!!! As an "older" married man (64) with 3 grown children and a house, I have spent many a Christmas Eve putting together bicycles and toys, as well as home furniture and various lawn items. The directions were simple and clearly written. All small parts, screws and bolts are bubble wrapped and clearly marked and numbered on a single large cardboard sheet. No lost or missing parts and clear directions! I could not have been happier. The bench itself is fairly sturdy. I have no complaints - but for comparison I'm 5' 8" and 170 pounds. The most I bench is about 140 - so I don't know how it would work with a larger person bench pressing 250. For me it's fine. I might also add - the leg attachment is one of the best I've ever seen in a home weight bench and is a welcomed addition. My only complaint is that it is a little high up. I can't put my feet flat on the ground when I'm bench pressing. Other than that - overall I'm very happy with this weight bench.

Not the best bench, but okay for the money (great price!)
By Peter K. Fallon on Reviewed in the United States on January 19, 2022
This is not the sturdiest weight bench in the world -- no danger of collapsing, just a lot looseness and play in the joints. It wobbles when you're on it. The barbell supports are way too close together. When doing bench presses, you only have about 1.5 feet between your left and right hands. I like to have my hands about 3 feet apart when pressing, so I have to move my hands outward after lifting the bar, and then wiggle then back when I'm putting the bar back on the supports. I scraped up my knuckles the other day putting the weights back because I miscalculated the distance between my hands. It really is a narrow, narrow space between the supports. Having said that, I really do appreciate how inexpensive this bench is. I'm a sixty-seven year old guy who wrestled and lifted weights during high school and college, and occasionally into adulthood, who's trying to build back muscle mass lost to the ravages of time. This bench gives me just about everything I need for the exercises I want to do (an optional lat machine would have been nice). On the whole, I'm pretty pleased, but certainly not blown away. I'll be sure to tape my knuckles up when doing bench presses. ;-)
