This is exactly what I wanted.

I purchased this squat/bench rack because I had one when I was younger and loved it. The new one is exactly like I remember. For clarification I purchased the weider rack by itself, my rack does not include the bench seen in my photos. The rack is functional and supports decent amount of weight (up to 310 lbs); That’s plenty for the average home gym user. The rack came with two adjustable hooks for spotting the he weight. It has two small poles to hang free weights. The rack works with any bench; I’m currently using the flat bench in my photos, but it was not purchased with the rack. The rack itself is really solid and fairly well made. My only complaint about the structure is that my rack looks like one of the tubes is bent (see photo). I was able to assemble the rack just fine and it feels sturdy, but cosmetically it looks like someone messed it up a little bit because the frame doesn’t align well. This rack was easy to set up. I did it by myself with in 30 minutes. A second person would have made setup slightly easier, but not necessary. The rack I purchased came with a Allen wrench to tighten the Olympic weight adapter for the free weight stand but you will need at least two adjustable wrenches that will accommodate a 17mm nut and bolt. You might need more tools if you purchased the rack with an attached bench. Overall I’m happy with the rack and I’m pretty sure I won’t have to buy another rack ever again.

Perfect bench EXCEPT for a dangerous flaw!
By Kmax1000 on Reviewed in the United States on February 4, 2023
THE GOOD: I love the adjustability of the bench. I love the lateral stability of the bench. I don’t care about the leg stuff as extensions and curls are crap exercises so I don’t use those. I didn’t plan to use the bicep part much, but actually fell in love with the design and constant tension it creates while taking pressure off of my old shoulders. The HORRIBLE!: when in anything except the decline position the bench back HAS COLLAPSED ON ME THREE TIMES WITH WEIGHT IN HAND!!! The bench design is great UNTIL you get to the gravity-based bench back securing method. If you don’t set it up perfectly, or are sweaty and the surface sticks to you a little, or if you nudge the bench in any way, it is VERY easy for the little metal tongue to dislodge from its slot. When you return, if it dislodged, the back will rapidly collapse to the full decline position. This is COMPLETELY DANGEROUS and a HUGE LIABILITY! I have hung weight plates on the little handle and used elastic bands to create tension on the back piece, but I still am scared to death of it collapsing again and me getting 140lbs. of dumbbells on my face. I now just use this bench for decline and use my old bench which this was supposed to replace for everything else. Wasted potential. If that gets fixed, it will be the perfect bench. Otherwise, you are risking injures.
