Mongoose Juneau Fat Tire MNT Bike 16-S

I like the bike but Mongoose customer service and warranty are the worst. I had a problem with the freehub (part that makes the clicking sound you hear in the rear wheel) the freehub started making a loud noise and slipped every once in a while so I called Mongoose to get a replacement part/new freehub as the bike was only two months old at the time and under warranty, well long story short... Mongoose doesn't stock the freehub part and they told me they can't get one but they can replace the bike or I could take the bike to one of my local bike shops and have it repaired and they will reimburse me the cost to fix the bike minus any labor, what a joke. I called all my local bike shops within reasonable driving distance, and they all told me they don't carry this type of freehub because it is an outdated old style freehub from the 80's and a cheap China part, they all said modern bikes that they sell don't use this type of freehub and it would be next to impossible to find the part. That said... I did some research and went on amazon and eBay but couldn't find this type of freehub anywhere, there was one freehub that looked similar to mine but you had to order from China and it may not be the right one anyway, so there is no way for me or the bike shops to get one, how could we get one if the manufacturer/Mongoose can't get one? Well this leaves me with the option of returning my bike for a new one which I shouldn't have to do, I told mongoose if you are willing to replace the whole bike then why don't you just take the back wheel assembly off the bike you are willing to send me, send it to me and I will send you back my broken back wheel, PROBLEM SOLVED, no they can't do that, WHAT A JOKE. I told Mongoose I shouldn't have to send my bike back to you because you don't stock parts for your bikes under warranty, I have installed many upgraded parts on the bike and I shouldn't have to disassemble the whole bike and make it stock again because you guys cannot honor your warranty and send me a $25 part, I would have to take apart the whole bike and remove my upgraded parts which include: new...tires, larger disc brake rotors (front and rear) original rear brake rotor was warped out of the box, hydraulic brake system (front and rear) suspension seat post and new seat, front suspension fork, grips, crank gear (original one came bent out of the box) Cateye odometer, decals on the frame, new pedals and fenders, Like I said I shouldn't have to disassemble my bike and make it stock again because Mongoose doesn't carry/stock parts for their bikes under warranty. I also sent Mongoose pics of the part I needed when I first called them to make sure they get me the right part, they said they had the part in stock so I told them to make sure it's the right part before you ship it out to me, so the lady I spoke with told me she was going to double check and show my pics of the freehub part to one of their tech guys to confirm it is the right part before she ships it out, so I waited on the phone for a few minutes and she came back and said... yep it's the right part you need, well when I received the part I started laughing because she sent me the wrong part, she sent me the cassette gears on the rear wheel, I don't know how anyone can make that mistake with a pic of the part in their hand, this more than proves that they literally know nothing about the bikes they are selling and this is not the first time this has happened, my brother needed parts from Mongoose once and he also sent them pics of the part he needed and they sent him the wrong parts as well, after reading some of the other reviews on here it looks like this is a common problem, Mongoose needs to hire people with better technical knowledge of bikes. Bottom line... I shouldn't have to ship my bike back to Mongoose (and have to remove all my upgraded and personalized parts) because they don't stock parts for their bikes under warranty, all I need is a $25 freehub part to be replaced, (THAT MONGOOSE AND NOBODY CAN GET) if you bought a new car and the battery went dead you don't replace the car they replace the battery. I really don't want to take a chance on getting another broken bike from Mongoose because every bike me, my family and friends bought from Mongoose had something wrong with it as did the many people who bought this bike here as per reviews, I just want to fix the bike I have. SHAME ON MONGOOSE FOR NOT HONORING THEIR WARRANTY AND FOR NOT STOCKING PARTS FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS WHEN THEY NEED THEM TO FIX THEIR BIKES UNDER WARRANTY.
