I've broken arms off of cheaper models and the arms are great for rebuilding a torn rotator cuff and for building up chest and back muscles. These arms are not going to break. I remove the seat and operate the arms. I had to weigh down the cheaper bike that I sat out for the garbage this morning but not this bike. It is heavy and heavy duty. A great purchase for home equipment that I expect to get 20 years from.

It literally tore apart while riding it.

Everything was great until it wasn't. I am not some insane fitness nut by any means. I am 5'9, around 205 pounds when I started using the bike for about 15 minutes a day, three to five times a week. The odometer isn't even at 100 miles yet and as I was riding the left arm bracket simply tore apart. You can see from the picture exactly what happened. Imagine being on a piece of exercise equipment and it literally tears apart while using it!That being said, I wouldn't complain if not for the horrible service I've received since. I filed a claim with the manufacturer, and they say the part is on back order with no set determination date. I'm pretty sure they could get 'the part' just by opening a box of another bike and just sending it to me, but I guess that would make too much sense.The Asurion warranty I purchased is useless. They refuse to handle the claim as well...so I'm stuck with a broken air bike and no definite time on when I can receive a replacement part. I'm not a negative review guy unless something egregious takes place. This, good people....is egregious.UPDATE: Amazon's customer service stepped up and helped me in obtaining a refund on this. Great job to them! Boo to Xterra for their 'support.' Won't be buying anything from them again.
