Circuit Fitness Magnetic Exercise Bike

The bike worked great when I first got it but you have to figure out the best way to use it on your own since the instructions are certainly lacking in that regard. Sturdy and sporting a very comfortable seat, this bike provided great workouts for about 8 months and then problems with the control computer began. The timer would freeze up and the resistance level would go up and down randomly. The infamous but unexplained E-7 code would be displayed which completely locked up the control panel until you unplugged it for five minutes or so and you could try to complete your workout until the panel would go haywire again after 10 minutes or so. I contacted Marcy customer service in December 2021 and in a few weeks I received a new control panel. After installing it the bike worked perfectly and I was a happy camper again….. at least for 4 months at which point the panel began going haywire again. I experienced the same timer stoppages, random changes in resistance levels and freeze ups accompanied by the aforementioned E-7 code on the display panel. The control panel then began operating “in reverse” which resulted in me having to push the opposite manual control button from what you’re trying to do. In other words, to increase resistance I had to push the button that is for lowering resistance and vice versa. The programmed workouts also were reversed by the control panel. I once again contacted Marcy customer service and theyadvised they would send me yet another control panel. Today, the bike completely gave up the ghost. The display permanent displays E-7 and all controls are completely non-functional. By the many 4-5 star reviews it’s obvious that it’s a good bike when it’s working but if you’re unlucky enough to purchase one with a defective control panel, you’ll be frustrated. I see that Amazon is now selling this for almost half of what I paid for this in 2020. Perhaps these problems are why.
