Nice, simple scope!
By Jonathan on Reviewed in the United States on July 6, 2020
Fixed power scopes are getting pretty hard to come by, and it seems like about every new scope out there is offered with some bullet drop compensation, target specific or mil-dot reticle. Well here is a needle in a haystack! I bought this to mount on a .30-30 rifle. Not a precision bench rest long range sub-MOA rifle by any means, it is a rifle intended for hunting. For a pure hunting rifle, this thing is great. It has wonderful glass, better than my 3-9x40 redfield revolution on my 30-06. It also seems very sturdily built, and I have no doubt that it will last many years. So if your shots are realistically under 150 yards, you want something simple and straightforward, and you appreciate nice bright and clear glass at a very reasonable cost, this one is pretty hard to beat. The only other 4x scope I've used much is a Simmons 8pt 4x32. When I bought that Simmons for my .22 I was really impressed with how light, bright, and compact it was. It still is a great scope for what it is... but the build quality, glass quality, depth perception, and image just can't compare to this scope. I've never looked through a swarovski or zeiss scope - and I hope not to, because this will do everything I ask for, looks great to me, and won't cost a kidney.
