Love it or hate it type of shoe
By Gregory W Morris on Reviewed in the United States on November 16, 2020
Mizuno Men's Wave Inspire 16 Waveknit is the tighter fitting variant of this shoe. If you try them, keep that in mind. Mizuno offers a looser variant that also happens to be lighter (non-knit). I liked it so much that I bought a similar type of shoe for my everyday walkers. Also keep in mind that this shoe is designed for over pronation, if you do not, MIzuno makes other shoes more appropriate to your gate. (supination or neutral) Longest run: 4.5 miles Normal run: 3.5 Outside only, I use my worn shoes or cheap shoes on the treadmill. height/wt: 6'1" / 225 lbs (down from 237!) Pro: -tight knit is not too tight and stretches to accommodate my foot/flexible and soft -the wrap feels like it adds more support to my feet for my current heavy weight -good enough cushion considering my size -light (there are lighter shoes, but not worth it for me) -good turnover/responsiveness (energy transfer/stiffness/flexibility), I feel agile in them -good grip on post rain wet pavement/blacktop Con -expensive (for me at least) -tight knit is not for everyone, consider the try before buy option if available on Amazon (may be a promotional thing) -might soak up water if caught in the rain Neutral -concern that the knit may not last, but there is no clear indication that it will not.

Blistering up after first few runs...
By Nick Villacci on Reviewed in the United States on July 5, 2021
Bought these because my New Balance Symphonics have lived past their usefulness. After the first run I have a blister on the inside of my right heal, this isnt a normal spot for me to get a blister from running. They have a rather large "cushion" on the top of the back heel that rubs against my achilles area and rubs the skin off if the sock isnt high enough. Considering I use runners socks which are low, this is something I have not encountered on other running shoes. Not sure what to think, but going to see how these do and hoping its just a new shoe situation.
