Eylar Large 20.62" Gun Case

This is another of case (no pun intended) of a Chinese budget knockoff with mediocre quality that will be "good enough" for many situations. If you need a case just to protect your items from impact, drops, and rough handling then this will do fine. The material and make overall is robust enough to handle that, and the hinges have steel rods in them. The budget, mediocre quality shows in the fit and finish of the case. For something like this it's actually important. While it doesn't claim any IP rating I would not trust this with any more than light rain. They cheaped out on accurate and precise molds between the lid and the base, so they don't line up 100%. It's hard to see from the pictures, but you can see where the lid actually compresses the sealing ring. It barely makes it around the inner curve on all for corners. I would not trust such poor alignment and fit in more adverse conditions. The other tell is the lack of uniformity when closed. Lastly the "pressure release valve" is not valve at all. It's just a thumb screw with an o-ring. Ultimately functional enough to protect from knocking around, but would buy higher quality for sensitive items that require more serious protection especially in adverse conditions.
