This is a Very comfortable, sturdy and attractive bike. Haven’t ridden one in over 10 years but the deep step in, Amazingly comfortable and wide seat with no unnecessary bells and whistles makes this a dream to ride ! Assembly was a bit complicated so hired someone through Amazon to assemble it . Be aware however that this is not suitable for hills as I have recently found out . It is a true beach cruiser and is best ridden on a relatively flat terrain. I highly recommend it .

Really?

What was Schwinn thinking? The three speed bike may have been of advanced design, in the 1940's. But this is not so inexpensive rather poorly emulated version of it. Assembling the beast is quite an endeavor: Front wheels can be put in place with two people working on them - one spreading the fork to fit it over the wheel, Instead of simple snapping mechanism, one has to tighten the nuts manually with an appropriate wrench. The screws to hold the support for the front fender, already on the frame, to were screwed on so so tightly that I resorted to using 10-40WD to loosen them, The seat, oh, the seat. There are nuts and screws to adjust the angle of the seat and there is a screw/nut to adjust the height of the seat. Adjusting both of them requires quite an endeavor. Adjusting the height of the seat is particularly problematic. Even when the nut was tightened with force to hold the seat post, the seat sank. Imaging yourself riding and the seat sinks or loaning the bike to someone of different dimensions than you, you without proper tools are out of luck, Speaking of tools, it seemed that almost every nut and screw required a different implement. Pedals? Never got to them. After the issues with the seat and evaluating potential future troubles involving what would be considered minor repairs, I decided not to continue with the assembly and reversed the action to ship the bike back. One positive thing about the bike, even only about 3/4 assembled the blue bike was aesthetically pleasing. But that was not the principal reason for the purchase.
