Hover-1 Helix Electric Hoverboard

We bought the camo hover board for my son for Christmas 2022 and all was great! The design was nice, the Bluetooth speaker part was cool, and my son was happy. 6 months into owning it, we were notified there was a massive recall due the the battery and it being a significant fire hazard. They were prompt with responding to emails, helping me understand how to take it apart and mail them back the battery. They approved me for a replacement hoverboard and all seemed great! Until I got the replacement. Unbeknownst to me, the replacement was a cheap garbage style board. Not near the price or quality I paid for, for my initial one. I was willing to just make it work, but then when I took it out of the box, it smelled like smoke or like something was burning. The smell never went away and due to the fact that it smelled like something was catching fire, I didn’t feel safe letting my son use it, let alone keeping it in my house. I tried emailing them and calling but never got a single response about the situation. They were so prompt to take care of me when there was a liability on their hands, but wiped their hands clean once it was done, not caring about the product they sent me as a replacement. I would never purchase another item from this company ever again.
