I have to say, even after knowing all the imperfections, I still love the design so much. It's so slim, so elegant, and so suitable as a gentlemen's knife that doesn't scary all the non-knife lovers. So if you know you just like the design, you can pretty much ignore the rest of what I am going to say and get the knife. It's still decent. Here are a list of compromises to make this knife so slim and light: ++Not enough rigidity to the handle. The scales and frame are strong enough that they will get the job done. But some times you can feel them bending if you are trying to get a good grip while doing some work. ++Dangerous liner lock The liner lock is decent. And normally this wouldn't be a problem. But because the handle is so slim, there is just not enough room for all your fingers for a safe closing. I always feel that the blade is awfully close to my thumb while closing. ++Not a slicer The blade stock itself is by no means thick. But because it is narrow, the blade just doesn't slice very well compared to some wider blades of the same thickness. The position of the thumb stud also makes the usable blade shorter when you try to get as much length as you can cutting bigger things. ++Ok actions Opening and closing are not bad. But I just don't like this IKBS as much. It feels gritty. And the detent is a bit too much. Overall, it's still a decent knife. But to get this slim look, there are caveats you need to be aware of. A knife is still a knife, it has to do a knife's job right.
