Beautiful and worth the buy! Thick too!

Beautiful and great! I see what people mean about the smell, but the smell does not bother me. It just smells new and a little like rubber but it doesn’t smell bad. This is my first Gaiam mat; before this I was buying a generic one through Amazon I think called Yoga Accessories. This Gaiam is only $2 more and seems like it’s better quality. But I will add that I mainly use it as a workout mat as opposed to a yoga mat, so I can’t speak to the slippery aspect as much.

Its thin. The grip is ok. But what to expect for such a price? therefore, for the price it will do. The good mats that are a little thicker, softer, and with stronger grip are $40+.
