Great rack at price point

General: I purchased the rack and pulley. I will start out by saying that 3 of the 4 pillars arrived damaged in shipping. I reached out to hulkfit and received a reply from Doug, stating that I was not the only customer who's had this issue. We agreed that I would attempt to bend the pillars straight as I could, and in exchange Doug would send me a couple freebie accessories. I was able to bend them enough to align all of the bolt holes and bars. Doug also indicated that the company was reviewing the shipping design and that it was being revamped. Usage: Aside from a little wobble during dips, I have zero complaints with this rack. It is beyond sturdy and has exceeded my expectations at the price point it is offered. The wobble could also be from the soft foam interlocking tiles that it is resting on, I have not tried it on a solid surface. Due to how the floor gives, I squat on a 3/4 piece of plywood on top of the tiles for a firmer stance to the ground. I have limited height in my home gym due to a 7 ft ceiling and mounted the pull up bar upside down. I installed the pulley after the picture was taken as the pulley arrived a couple weeks after the rack. I have only used it once but it worked nicely and the installation was pretty simple. The only limitation I can see is there is no adjustment every 6 inches like you'd find on one at a commercial gym, only a pulley on the top and bottom. Overall thoughts: This rack can't be beat at the price point, and its actual cheaper now than when I bought it. The assembly instructions could use improvement, but I am a handy enough person that I did not struggle, but others might. I think the yellow frame is a cool touch to gym also as it gives it some contrast. With the price and excellent customer service, don't be hesitant to purchase this rack. I did not receive anything for writing this review, but told Doug I would write one for taking care of me.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM HULKFIT!!!

I never write reviews, but HulkFit is such a bad company that I feel obligated to share my frustration so that you (yes, YOU!) don't have to go through my same frustration. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM HULKFIT!!! You have been warned. I took a gamble on the HulkFit 1,000lb power cage, knowing up front that it's made from the finest Chinesium that money can buy. Surprisingly, the quality of the materials has not been my issue in 2 weeks of ownership. Rather, the left safety bar was manufactured out of specification. The bar was welded too close to the "C" bracket, which does not allow enough clearance for the bracket to clear the frame, thus preventing installation. No problem, right? All I need is a simple, removeable part to be replaced. "Surely this won't be a big deal." I thought to myself. Oh, how wrong I was! On 1/17/2021 I contacted HulkFit via an e-mail address outlined on the warranty information provided with the power cage, expressing the issue I described above. There is no contact number for HulkFit. On 1/21/2021 I sent a follow-up e-mail to HulkFit stating that I have not received a response, even though I received a bounce-back e-mail stating that my original e-mail had been received. On 1/21/2021 HulkFit responded saying that they were sorry that the product arrived damaged (note: I was very clear in my e-mail that the part was manufactured out of specification), and that they do not have any replacement parts on hand. Further, they asked if I had contacted Amazon regarding the issue. On 1/21/2021 I responded to HulkFit and expressed very clearly that 1) there was no shipping damage, and 2) the safety bar was manufactured out of specification, which is preventing it from being inserted into place. Additionally, I expressed that their own warranty information states there is a 2 year warranty, and I am assuming this warranty covers manufacturer's defects, so it seems odd to direct me to Amazon when they're only responsible for shipping the product. I asked them to confirm if their warranty covers manufacturer's defects, and if contacting Amazon is truly the correct action to take. On 1/26/2021 I sent yet another follow-up e-mail stating that their customer service is severely sub-par and to please confirm if I need to contact Amazon for a manufacturer's defect. As of today, I still have not received a response. Out of a total of 4 e-mails I've sent, HulkFit only responded to 1 e-mail, and that response clearly did not recognize or understand what it was I originally stated. Instead, they only wanted to pass their responsibility off to someone else. Then, they completely stopped any form of communication altogether. That is not even merely adequate customer service, and it certainly doesn't show that HulkFit stands behind their products. They only care about getting your money, and then it's someone else's problem. What good is a 2 year warranty if the company cannot and does not provide support to deal with product defects or issues? THERE IS NO WARRANTY REGARDLESS OF WHAT THEIR PAPERWORK IMPLIES! Why gamble with this company? There was another comparable unit similar in price, and I should have gone with it instead. You should too! If you have an issue, HulkFit will not assist you, as they do not stand behind their products. They can't even communicate effectively (or at all), which is a fundamental component of adequate customer service. They only want your money, leaving you with a defective and/or sub-par product. To paraphrase a quote I like, "A smart man learns from his mistakes, and a wise man learns from the mistakes of others." Be wise and learn from my mistakes! You do not have to suffer the frustration and loss of time that I did. Simply purchase from another company. Amazon is shipping me an entirely new unit, so that I can simply swap out a defective piece. This would be no big deal if we weren't talking about a very large piece of equipment. However, kudos to Amazon for doing the right thing when HulkFit wouldn't.
