Muzzy Vice Intro/Amateur Bow
By wyatt on Reviewed in the United States on September 13, 2022
I’m going to leave points for this review so hold on. 1. It’s a solid compound bow that will help those with longer arm spans thanks to the many different adjustments. Out of box some one 5’7-5’9 can pull it back and shoot at the factory string setting. 2. It come pre loaded around 40lbs. Mine was 42 out of the box according to the archery shop. I set it for 37lbs and still went clean through a fish at 10 yards. (29” 11lb Northern Snakehead) 3. You can quick shoot the bow I have done it and so far now issues. The small draw weight doesn’t cause much issues with this. However you’ll feel the three shot points in the cam system. 4. Almost lost a star but after 6 hours it didn’t seem to bad. Compared to recurves this unit is a bit heavy. However it’s geared towards the new shooter. It comes with all you need. The only two cons 1. The arrow rest is great except. You need to flip it around. Factory atleast mine was on the inside of the bow facing the string. I flipped it and left it on the right side of the bow but the arrow rest is infront of the bow. I did this because at full draw the arrow would bounce in the rest and fall out. This is just because the rest is open. Until I replace the rest this is working great. 2. It has no arrow holder on it like the ams bottle style reels. Now this isn’t anything to loose a star over. You can feed the arrow between the two limbs and the bow string guide. This will not lock the arrow I place. But keep it close with the reel kept taught.

Customer service nightmare
By Adele on Reviewed in the United States on November 15, 2019
I was very excited to buy this bow, and start bowfishing. I chose this bow because I believed the Muzzy name was associated with top-notch gear. This review reflects Muzzy’s accessories and more importantly their customer service. The first thing I noticed was that directions for setup were incomplete... frustrating. After 3 times taking the bow out (maybe 30-45 shots), the reel broke and I decided to send it back for repair. That process was a pain in the rear. Retail item names did not match their return item names, Even their video tutorial on their return website was outdated. Painstakingly, I figured it out on my own. Once my return was accepted, I shipped the reel, opting to pay for three day shipping. They received the real, and began the repair process taking nearly 1.5 weeks. Once it was complete, it sat for a few days waiting for shipping and then was shipped using the slowest ground service possible. At this point I was just happy that they fixed it. Once I received the reel, I installed it and went back out the next day. After about 6 shots, the nock on the arrow broke. Thankfully, I had a spare. And after 10-15 shots, the reel broke again. Here we go through the same painstaking process… However, this time I specifically asked for a quick turnaround being that the river where I fish was going dry. Here we are now, three weeks into the process and the repair has been complete for 10 calendar days and the reel has still not shipped. The river is dry and I will not be able to fish again until next season. I have tried to call and get a status update, but nobody answers the phone. Additionally, the “fish hook” arrow rest that is included with the bow is absolute garbage. The single screw that they include allows massive amounts of movement, making shot placement extremely inconsistent. Overall, poor quality and worse customer service.
