Very good quality for the price

I read thru a LOT of item listings and reviews before getting this product. I had it narrowed down to my Top 3. One of them did not offer any type of free shipping, so it was out. Next on the list was this one. I'm glad I ended up getting it. Only took about 15 minutes to put it all together. There's only 8 screws you need to use, and everything fit just fine. The metal seems perfectly adequate, especially since the "weakest link" will probably be one of the screws, since it too is holding your weight up. The metal tubing is plenty fat, so your hands won't hurt nearly as much as smaller diameter tubing would when doing dips. There are a lot of choices for this kind of dip bar, so it can be a bit unnerving pulling the plug and hoping you chose right. Let this review give you confidence in this unit. I'm 5'8", 190 lbs. Sure you have to bend your knees a bit, but you likely would have to on any unit, and it's only natural to do when performing dips anyway because you're looking to prevent body sway. There were no defects, no paint missing, no sharp edges. The manual is a bit too small in its pics to tell how to assemble the pieces, but you'll quickly see how it goes together and it's no biggie. Buy this unit; join me in some dips. Just be careful to not do too many the first day you get it. Dips can make you SO SORE. I just did 7, and tomorrow I'll probably do the same. And eventually work up to maybe 15 per day, 4 or 5 times per week. I divide my body up into 11 main muscle groups and only do one set per muscle group, repeating this daily, with many "miss" days scattered in either because I'm too tired or too busy. But this kind of home exercise routine where you just do a little each day and try to build consistency works pretty well for someone not trying to go overboard with working out. You might consider doing the same! Good luck to all!

Decent but needs more stability
By Jason on Reviewed in the United States on June 13, 2022
Picked this up expecting a dip bar as shown in the picture and pretty much got what you would expect, pretty decent quality metal painted, and the assembly was easy even for me. One issue I have is that the center stability pipe that connects the two bars together is only on one side of the bars. This really isn't that big of an issue and I can see why they would do this (it makes the bars more adjustable and keeps them upright) but when I do a dip I can feel the bars slightly push apart toward the unsupported side. The bars don't move enough to interfere or distract from the exercise, but it is just a mild annoyance that needs to be mentioned. Other than that this is a pretty decent purchase if you get it on sale and want a medium sized dip bar at home.
