Schwinn Day Tripper Cargo Bike Trailer

The trailer was ok for what it was intended — day trips. I, however, used it to do a bike tour across Missouri. The trailer bent my axle, kept coming loose from the axle despite two trips to the shop, was difficult to put on and take off, but worst of all it kept having flats. This was probably due to poor construction of the wheel rims (which were not replaceable). Despite changing the tubes on several occasions the tubes kept splitting (and no, the trailer was not overloaded). I used sand paper to smooth out the rough places on one rim, and that helped. After reaching my destination I went into a restaurant to eat and when I came out I had my last flat. Since it finishes the tour I just threw it away and got into my Uber drivers van with my bike, gear, but left the trailer behind. I might use a bike trailer again, but for touring it will have good rims, probably only one wheel, and a mount under the seat and not on the axle.
