Almost 6 years later & it still works like new!

Idk what's more impressive: How long this thing has lasted me without any degradation in quality, how much power this thing has or how quickly it jump starts a car.I've never seen another car charge a car battery enough to start the engine as quickly as this backup battery does.I got this in 2019 because I traveled a lot for work to charge my laptop. When I was no longer with that company, I didn't have much use for it so it sat on a shelf or in a box in the garage.I needed a jump one day and remembered this had jumper cables & pulled it out and shockingly it still had 2 bars of charge and started my car immediately.Ever since that day (2-3 years ago) I've always kept it in my car, charging it once in a while (but not often).I lent it to a neighbor who was having battery issues and he used it for about a week and returned it with ½ a charge (I know he didn't charge it because I had the charging cable).Recently, BOTH of my cars batteries died and I dug the Halo out again and it turned right on with 3 bars of power, jumped both cars a total of 7 times and it only went down to 2 bars of power. This item is a must have.Charge it up, throw it in your car and forget it.You never know when you need a DC outlet, flashlight, USB charger, or most importantly an instant jump start when nobody's around to lend a hand.I've considered buying another but this thing is so reliable and long lasting that I don't need another portable battery!

Will jump your vehicle but battery cable clamps come apart.

I bought this for myself at Christmas time.I charged it up but it was April before I really needed the halo to start my lawn mower with a dead battery. When I tried to put the cable clamp on the battery the positive clamp came apart. It was past the thirty days so I could not return to amazon. I contacted Zagg support and they said the product has a 90 day guarantee but I was past that. I explained that this was the first time I tried to use it and it broke. They extended the warranty but I would have to be $7.95 for shipping and handling and then had to return the broken clamp for another $5.When the replacement clamp arrived the negative cable was in two pieces and I had to force it back together. I then tried to start my lawn mower but the halo would not work. From the instructions that were included it appeared that the halo could not verify that the cables were hooked up correctly which is a safety feature of the product so you do not reverse the hook-up. Well my lawn mower batter was completely dead so I reasoned that the polarity could not be determined. I had to hook the battery up to a trickle charger for about 30 minutes so the halo could verify I had the cable hooked up correctly. I was then able to start the lawn mower. It worked better than jumper cables at that point.I have not tried the ac plug or usb charger since I bought this primarily for infrequent emergency battery jumper. I have not used it to jump a car just my lawn mower. While it did work well after going through the steps above to start the lawn mower you need to be aware of the following:1) The clamps come apart easily and do not go back together easy.2) If your battery is completed dead it will not jump it due to the safety reverse hookup prevention If you have some power in your battery it but it will not start (clicks) the halo might help you.3) Make sure you test it out as soon as you get it because if you wait until you need it you will be outside of the amazon return and 90 day warranty period.
