Full Featured, Versatile, Quality Scope. Very easy choice.

I have two of these now (3-12x42, 6-24x50) and going for a third. Other scopes I use are SWFA and Leupold. The Bushnell Engage series is in my opinion an easy choice. They are full featured with easy to use accurate turrets that lock, unlock and reset zero with ease, track smoothly, accurately and repeatably, all of which is a big deal and a sure sign of reliability and quality manufacturing. The reticle is great; fine, clear, simple and sensibly graduated. It can be used for precision targets, plinking or hunting, which is also a big deal. Because the Deploy MOA reticle is fine enough for precision shooting, it will naturally be harder to detect in very low light or busy/dark background hunting situations, but not much more so than the standard hunting crosshairs, for which you probably need illumination anyway in these cases. That is a no brainer trade off for a scope with the capabilities that this one has and should not be a concern unless you need a dedicated hunting scope, in which case a dedicated hunting reticle is probably a better scope for the purpose. Side focus is accurately calibrated, convenient and easy to use. Once you have it, it will probably become a must for future purchases. The glass, which for rifle scopes is the most subjective and most picked over review category there is, is just fine. It is not as bright as a NightForce, but I for one have never had a shooting solution that actually required that kind of $2500 clarity either. You can see clearly what you are looking at with this scope. It is every bit as good as anything in its' price range, and also as good or better as the $6-700 Vortexes that I have seen and used. Adjustments are quick and easy. It is a very convenient scope to use. These scopes seem to me to be the result of progressive development at Bushnell, from the Nitro, thru the Elite to the Engage. the Engage seems to me to be an Elite model scope with upgraded turrets. To me this is another indicator of improved results in a proven design, which is a big plus as well. Bottom line: The Bushnell Engage series is a high quality, reliable, very well priced scope line that is full featured, versatile and an easy choice against anything under $1000-$1200.

Lies.

This is a great example of false advertisement. The video and one picture clearly show the tooless zero reset. The description states it has a tooless zero reset. A pamphlet in the box with the scope explains how to use tooless Zero reset. Im replacing a junk bushnell that came stock on one of my guns with this. This seems like a nice enough scope if you get it for the cheap discount price of 50% off. Bushnell customer service was very nice but it doesn't seem that they care that they are blatantly false advertising. The tooless zero reset feature only comes on a couple of the Engage scopes, the more expensive ones. Extremely disappointed with such shady tactics by Amazon and Bushnell. Not an accident if you know about it and don't fix it or make it right. Otherwise it's another cheap Bushnell at a cheaper price as it should be. Buyer beware.
