Wow! Really comfy chair!!

This is the second one of these chairs I have purchased and have logged many hours in it over the last two summers. Loved the first one - the backrest is mesh=like in the middle which is great on those hot, humid, sweaty summer days. Actually gets chilly on cooler days so I got this one with a solid backrest. It is SUPER comfy!! Haven't spent an afternoon in it yet, but looking forward to it as I gave it a quick test run and am extremely happy. Very cushy seat and the extra width makes the chair nice and roomy. Looks good too - especially like the "wood" armrest they dress it up wonderfully! I really recommend these chairs. The only negative is that they are a beast. Heavier than one would expect, but I guess that means it is solidly built! Was able to get it when the price had been reduced so also this was a good value.

Overall okay. Don't know how long it will last.

So, I bought this chair specifically because I need to tip back to work due to spinal issues. This gets 4 stars for tip! It does indeed allow you tip back very far, if you are looking for a chair to have a nice snooze in the yard. HOWEVER, I like to sit just a couple inches from full recline and the locking mechanism will not hold when most of my body weight is tipped back. It slips bit by bit until I am too far reclined to work. Due to this, I am concerned the teeth will break off and the lock will no longer work at all. And you DO need to lock it to stay put. It does not stay put on its own like some chairs I've seen. My second issue with the chair is the pillow design. It is attached to the chair on runners so you can slide it up and down. If it is working properly, this is not a bad feature at all as it makes it easier to just reach behind you and slide it up or down without the necessity of getting up or fidgeting too much. However, it is poorly designed in a way because the material in the chair back has seams right where the runner is and, near the top, the pillow has trouble going down the runner because the material seam is in the way. Also, the pillow is held on with two clips on each side and, almost immediately, one of the clips came off the top and I cannot get it to go back onto the runner, so I have a little hassle with one clip on and one clip off. Then the top clip on the other side also came off the runner. It still works though. The last issue I have is that the tubes of the frame are thinner than other similarly-priced chairs. In addition, the joint connecting the foot section to the seat section is made with a rivot-type thing instead of a bolt. I'm not sure that's going to last either before it breaks. Pro's: Overall, this is a very comfortable chair and the pillow is nice too. It feels sturdy (although I did tip backwards once when I was fully reclined). It's also long enough for me to rest my feet on the frame, when I'm tipped a bit, instead of hitting the metal with the back of my ankle, like I do on some chairs. (I'm 5'9"). Summary, I find this chair comfortable and a good size for me as a tall and slightly large-bodied woman. However, I am not sure how long it will last and I would probably not recommend it for anyone very tall or heavy. And I am very concerned about the durability of the locking mechanism. Also, they really need some better color choices. Blue does not go with my decor and the green, which I bought, is just ugly but it was better than the gray or camo or whatever the other one was. I'd love to see a red one but, if not, at least a neutral color like black or beige. (Psst! Hey, manufacturer! Can't go wrong with black!) Thx for reading folks! Good luck and happy reclining!
