Rock-Solid Ride!
By Morgangler on Reviewed in the United States on August 14, 2019
I bought this cycle about 8 months ago, so I’ve had time to assess the real value of this purchase. This cycle is heavy!! Assembly is only made difficult because of its weight. But its weight is what really insures its stability while in use. Let’s just say that I’m over 225 lbs., & 6 ft. tall, and at age 63, have a history of compromised knee health. So the weight rating and stability were critical factors in the selection process. This thing is rock solid, even at cadences over 100 rpm. It’s amazingly quiet, still after 8 mos., and I really appreciate the magnetic resistance feature which significantly adds to the quietness of the ride. The seat is surprisingly comfortable, even for someone my size, and the height adjustment for the seat and handlebar, once set, LOCK in place. I keep an iPad on the included holder and watch YouTube cycling videos during workouts. The computer attaches at a location on the handlebar that is easily visible, and displays the settings large enough see clearly: rpm/mph, time duration, accumulated miles, calories, and pulse. The pulse tracker uses an elastic chest strap with battery operated monitor that Bluetooths your pulse to the computer. I’d have much preferred something like a wrist monitor, as the chest strap is awkward, but it may be more accurate than any alternative—I don’t know. The battery on the pulse monitor is a generic disc size and changes out simply enough. The computer battery is a different story. It requires an Allen wrench to access the back mount, in order to get to the battery compartment. It changes out, though (from disassembly to battery change-out, to reassembly), in 3-4 minutes. With regular use, fortunately, that only has to be done about every 3-4 mos. This has been a great choice for my fitness routine, and for someone of my size and age. You can spend a lot less and compromise stability, and you can spend a lot more for more “bells & whistles,” but this cycle is the real deal, and will hold up to the most rigid fitness routine, and should hold its value well for months/yrs. to come!

Poor Quality
By Andrew on Reviewed in the United States on September 22, 2020
Received this bike and like many other reviewers, the box was damaged. However only a minor plastic piece was cracked, the bike worked just fine. I saw other reviews of pedals falling off so I carefully assembled the bike to instructions and triple checked my work. The bike was a dream on day one. Smooth quiet ride, comfortable and easy going. About two weeks later, the pedals started a horrible squeak. I couldn't figure out what to do and then suddently, a couple of days later I had the dreaded wobbly pedal. Thank godness it didn't fall right off like others. I contacted support and it took over a week to get a response. They provided some troubleshooting suggestions that were hard to follow and required complicated equipment I did not have. I tried to troubleshoot but nothing was really helpful. Finally after emailing for a month the company sent me a new bike, free of charge. Great, huh?! Nope. This replacement (and non warrantied) bike had a wobbly gear crank (pedals shift from left to right). When I reported it to the company they said it was normal and fine. However, the bike began knocking after a couple weeks of riding and shortly thereafter a huge "clunk" and the gears were frozen. I contacted the company and ,waiting a week for each reply, was unable to get anyone to tell me what is wrong. Everyone gave me different answers, and you can't even buy replacement parts on their site you have to get a link from a rep. The troubleshooting suggestions were also comical (once they suggested filing off the top of a screw in order to loosen it). I ended up throwing this bike out and got something a little more expensive but from a more reputable brand. It's a shame, this bike has a great design and seems so good but it's not worth riding something you could seriously injure yourself on.
