Style great. Not secure for long walks, hikes, jogs

My first pair I bought in 2017 I LOVED, had a jersey stretch fabric strap and rubbery sole. I walked miles in comfort and security, even jogged. This pair I bought a month ago, not so much. This pair has a man made fabric liner on sole of shoes that is slippery, and that fabric is also the straps. No fabric on sole would be better. First pair a 8.5 size- a tad small. This pair is 9- much too big. I'll keep and consider how to make sole less slippery for foot stability. No way I would try jogging in these.
