Terrific bike for the buck!
By matt krysik on Reviewed in the United States on March 28, 2021
Made this purchase for my 11 year old daughter. She had a 20” Tess from diamondback for the past 4 years. As expected these bikes are partially assembled. No big deal people! Just take a few moments to realize this is easy enough and all you really need is a Phillips head screwdriver and the supplied Allen keys. The brakes will stretch and need adjusted down the road too, so here’s the chance to get to understand how to do it. Great bike! Light aluminum frame worth the few extra bucks over the Tess 24” steel frame. And the 21 speeds offer unlimited shifting. We love it ! Absolutely would purchase again.

Recieved the wrong bike, but kept it anyway. Amazon: How to you stay in business?
By J. PEERY on Reviewed in the United States on November 13, 2019
I ordered this about 2 weeks ago for my daughters birthday. I opened the box today to assemble the bike and there was, to my surprise, a red bicycle inside the box. For some reason, Amazon sent me a Diamondback Octane 24" bike instead of the blue Lustre 24" girls bike. My daughter wanted a yellow bike, but they are very rare, so since this Octane is virtually the same as the Lustre, and it has yellow on it, I've decided to keep it and give it too her. Assembling the bike was pretty simple, taking just over 2 hours to complete. I spent some time adjusting the brake shoes, but the derailleurs seemed to be working fine out of the box. It comes with the tools needed to assemble but you'll need some sturdy scissors, or wire cutters to cut through all the cable zip-ties that are used for shipping. The red, rear reflector that mounts to the seat post is not large enough for the seat post. I had to swap in a longer screw in order to make it fit. Otherwise, I'm pretty pleased with the middle-of-the-road quality. I was able to buy a decent Mt. bike with an aluminum frame for about $250. Due to the couple of tiny issues with assembly, and the huge oops on Amazon's part. I'm rating this as a 3. Most buyers would have sent this back due to the wrong bike being shipped.
