I am impressed

I've been target shooting since joining the 1971 JR. High School Rifle team - we didn't have to bring guns to school back then, the school supplied them! I have played with archery a little in the past but this is my first quality bow of any kind. Anyone with any experience already knows this but for other first timers like myself I'll tell you the first thing you want is a quality target bag designed to stop a crossbow bolt. I received my Specialist XL 360 yesterday, the target bag I ordered is due in tomorrow, but you didn't think I was going to wait for that did you? After several failed attempts at finding a suitable substitute for an actual target bag, including that 1 1/2" hardwood ply in the picture (that bolt was fired from 75') I decided I could wait a day for the target bag to arrive. Day 2 and I went to Walmart and bought a target bag, the one I'd ordered was "delayed" in shipping. A bag makes all the difference in the world, not only stopping the bolt but allowing for a one hand easy pull to recover them. So I got to work and setup my rifle rest at 20 yards to dial-in the scope. I was smiling in no time as those bolts started consistently hitting where I was aiming, or at least close enough for me. (2nd pic) I moved back to 30 yards to see how accurate the scopes' reticle lines were. Firing from 30 yards, using the 30 yard reticle line, that scope was right on the money. I'd also made a novice mistake earlier and ordered a pack of 17" bolts when they should be 20" bolts so I have a supply of both sizes on hand. This bow fires those 17" bolts without any issue, they're just faster. So let's see what I can real get out of that scope. Still at 30 yards, I fired a 17" bolt first. Knowing the 17" bolt would hit higher than a 20" from the same distance I sighted the target in the middle between the 20 and 30 yard reticle lines. I then fired a 20" bolt at that same spot but adjusted the reticle line I was using to the 30 yard reticle line. Now, don't ask me to repeat this but that second arrow did not hit the first one, it went straight down the middle of it. I am Robin Hood!! :-)) Hint 1: use some Loctite on the foot stirrup screws, mine liked to loosen up pretty quickly. Hint 2: the pistol grip is hollow making for a great place to store a few tools you may need in the field, a little piece of foam keeps things from rattling around. Hint 3: the 185 lb pull will restrict who can use this bow, even with the supplied rope cockier it still requires a pretty hardy pull to cock it. Hint 4: BUY IT! I've seen nothing but excellent reviews from professionals all over the web for this bow. And as a complete amateur like myself I doubt I could have found anything better for the price.

Defective

Just got this for pig hunting. Was super excited. Put a nice night vision scope on it. Shot it 4 times to sight it in. Now it won't cock back. Totally disappointed. And have to wait for a month to get replacement on Amazon. I have always loved Crosman and this is such a bummer.
