Great Glasses at a Great Price
By Brian from the Boro on Reviewed in the United States on November 11, 2023
I love these. They are light weight and hold your head without squeezeing it or cutting into it like other sport glasses do. I can wear these all day without getting the behind the ear soreness of them gripping. The blue color does not translate in your viewing. They are perfect to wear in both bright light or on a rainy day. I wear them when it rains as it cuts the glare. These are really polarized. Not some cheap knock off that says they are but aren't. I wear them as the sun is coming up and can drive into the sunrise without any issues.So... no matter what anyone says, you cannot buy a knock off of these on some Asian website. These sunglasses are quality lenses and qualty comfortable and soft frames. I tried the knock offs and they are junk and not worth the $6 they cost. These are as good as my Maui Jims ($170). I have purchased a second pair of these to have ready to go and replace the ones I lose.I recommend them....

These are very fragile - I would not spend over $100 for these glasses
By Car on Reviewed in the United States on March 27, 2015
**EDITED REVIEW** August 4, 2016I've reduced my rating from 4 stars to 3 stars. These glasses are extremely fragile for the price you pay. If you read my original review below you'll see that both of the Costa "C" logos on the earpieces popped off within the first couple of months of owning them. Costa was nice enough to send me two replacement "C" logos for free. I then noticed that one of the rubber slip on pieces for the nose piece was missing. I have no idea when it went missing, but since it didn't really affect the glasses I never bothered trying to get it replaced as I did with the logos. Later I noticed that on both of the lenses there were small cracks right above the screws that attach the joining piece at the nose. Again, those were barely noticeable and didn't affect the comfort or functionality of the glasses so I didn't think much of it. Finally the even that led to me downgrading them to 3 stars (and I think I'm being generous with 3 stars) - I had my glasses on the back of my neck when I hugged someone. The force of the hug, which was not much more than a casual, "Hey, how you doing?" hug, broke the glasses. I'm confident that the pre-existing cracks led to the complete break. I mailed my glasses in thinking it would be covered under the infamous lifetime warranty, but Costa wanted $70 to repair them.I only know one other person with the Ballast model, and his glasses did the exact same thing. They developed small cracks extending upwards from the nose piece and eventually completely broke. I've seen two of these pairs of glasses in the wild (mine and my friends) and they both completely broke in the exact same way. I would stay away from these glasses unless you're comfortable spending over $100 for a pair of glasses that MIGHT last 2 years. As for me, I will no longer be buying Costas.Original review posted on March 27, 2015:These are by far the most comfortable glasses I've ever owned. They're incredibly light and don't pinch your head very tightly at all (which also means they will not stay on top of your head well). The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because in the first 2 months of owning these both of the "C" logos on the ear pieces fell off. Because the frame is so flexible, they do not stay on top of your head very well, which is where I usually put them when I go into a store. They fell off my head twice because of the lack of pinching power in the ear pieces. The second time they fell I heard the rattle of the "C" logo bouncing across the floor. I picked it up, and noticed the other one was gone too. It must have fallen off on the first fall.I finally called Costa yesterday and they're just going to mail me two more Cs free of charge. I'll use a little glue this time to make sure they don't pop off again. If you happen to drop yours, look immediately to see if a C popped loose. I don't think the manufacturer glues them in...I think they just snap in.
