It's my new favorite!

I must admit, I've only had experience with two camels previously, so I might not be the authority on the subject but this did everything I expected it to do with only one slight hiccup, imo. That little hiccup is that the insulated line (purchased separately) didn't keep the water as cold as I had hoped. With that said, it is very nitpicky, but it's literally the only thing I can complain about. Take a literal minute and watch a YouTube video of how to seal the top. I thought I had a clue but despite my best efforts, I failed. After watching the video it sealed perfectly and didn't leak a single drop. We hiked for four and a half hours in scorching CR heat and the water in the reservoir was ice cold the entire time. The 2 liter capacity was awesome, I came back with about half of my water. Again, still very cold. No ice was left but the water was cold!

Going with a Bottle Instead
By J.B. Moore on Reviewed in the United States on June 21, 2025
I used this water bladder for over a year prior to writing this review. Short version: I wouldn't buy this again because the cap doesn't secure well making it a pain to refill and it makes the water taste weird. The cap threading is pretty thin requiring it to sit JUST right to close properly otherwise you are blowing water out the top. I thought with enough use I'd get the hang of it and it wouldn't be an issue. That did not happen. When I refilled, I had to constantly turn the bladder upside down to make sure I seated the cap correctly. The process went like this... Fill it, close it, turn upside down, see it leaked, open it and refill, close more carefully, check again, leak, repeat ad nauseum. I really wanted to like this product but it is time to face the reality that it just isn't worth the hassle anymore. The tipping point came when a tiny, pinpoint leak soaked by backpack underneath the hard-plastic ring the cap threads onto. At that point, the leak and aggravation wasn't worth it anymore. I'm just going to find something different, maybe stitch some loops into my backpack and use carabiners to clip bottles to it, I don't know.
