Hydro Flask 21oz Standard Flex Cap

Well, the color is pretty and the bottle does not leak, I think this particular model had some manufacturing defect that causes an odor it smells like vomit that I cannot get rid of. I have washed it with vinegar and soap, put it through the sanitation cycle on the dishwasher. I also tried bleach and water. Nothing gets rid of the smell of vomit. There is something in the coating of this particular model. If anyone has a suggestion on how to get rid of the smell, I would like to hear about it. There are also rust stains in the bottom. This is my third bottle from Hydro flask. My other two have been great never had a smell and did not rust, but unfortunately, I left my last one on an airplane. I bought this as a replacement. I have to return it due to the god-awful smell. I wonder if there’s something in it that could be toxic. Returning it. 2 week post-purchase revised: After soaking in bleach water overnight, then scrubbing with lots of vinegar and soap 3x, the smell has dissipated. So if willing to put in elbow grease, the smell will go away, but it took a lot of effort. Some substance in manufacturing must stick to the inside of this particular model or manufacturing batch of this pink bottle.
