Everything was straight forward and easy to set up

This set arrived as advertised. I just finally got a chance to set it up. Everything was straight forward and easy to set up. I set up the camera and sending unit (transmitter) on the target line of a new 2,400 yard range that we will be shooting soon. The picture stayed on my tablet until approx 1,400 yards with just the transmitter on, no receiver. When I arrived at the firing line 2,400 yards I turned on the receiver and got a clear picture. This is a distance of approx 640 yards further than the 1 mile range that is advertised. Mu shooting buddies are impressed and plan on buying the product. Once that I have shot on it I'll report the clarity and the ability to see the bullet holes.

The first one of these I received Amazon sent me a damaged box so I did not end up keeping it but I did notice that the unit was manufactured over 3 years ago. I ordered a replacement and it seemed to work fine except that I could not get my smartphone any farther than 2 feet away from the receiver before it lost signal. This makes it impossible to use it in the field. If I am laying prone and looking at my phone it is going to be more than 2 feet from the receiver so I would never get any picture. The second unit I received was 2 years old. I tried to call Coldwell but of course they are off for the week. If they happened to read this review I would appreciate some feedback.
