Plug won’t stay in battery
By AmyG on Reviewed in the United States on August 29, 2024
In less that a year of light use(10 or fewer times) the plug won’t even stay in the battery pack that was provided. The slightest jar and it falls out. We take masking tape to insure we won’t be without light in the night at campsites. It will work with other battery packs but there isn’t a switch that will work on those. To turn off/on you have to unplug/plug.

This is my second set that I purchased as I love my original set so much and wanted to have additional lighting for our travel trailer and power outages. These are super easy to use, charges quickly and the lighting is very bright. Just what you need when additional lighting is required. I will be buying more of them in the near future!
Real nice, bright and versatile

I really like the light. It is bright and seems to work fine. I did not give it 5 stars because there were a couple little issues. The male USB plug that inserts into the battery pack easily backs out just enough so that the lights will not power-up. It does not completely dislodge, so not sure if it is a faulty battery pack or something else, but it is a little annoying when the lights all of a sudden stop working and you have to quickly find the plug and push it back in. It would also be nice to have a simple manual that identifies what the little white rubber sleeves are that are part of the assembly. I assume they have a purpose, but I must have missed it when looking at the product page during my purchase. Lastly, wow that battery takes a long time to charge. It works great and if it needs to charge slow to maintain battery life, then so be it.
Excellent light for emergencies

Whether in the white tote which illuminates like a lantern or stretched out like a rope, this is a great light alternative. Even the lithium USB rechargeable power pack is a light. GREAT item! I'm ordering more for family members.
Noodle is great, battery pack not so much

The light itself is so nice. Exceeded my expectations in terms of brightness, and the ties, and magnets allow for multiple ways to utilize it. I'm giving the usb battery pack a 1 star though for multiple reasons. - the connection to the lumineedle light is extremely loose inside the USB port. For instance, if you actually hang the battery pack from the light, it slips out, or won't keep the light on due to a loose connection. - the pack is in itself a light. It has a brighter setting which acts as a flashlight while also telling you how fully charged it is by 4 or 5 Separate LED lights that go down with the battery life. - when you use the loominoodle setting without wanting the brighter light to be on, the battery pack still has lower lit LEDs on which can only be draining the battery life quicker. If I wanted a flashlight I would have gotten a flashlight I suggest anyone buying the loominoodle skip the battery pack that comes with it and find a better quality one on your own. Typically I run the loominoodle from my laptops but ill be buying a better pack in the future.

This is very cool. In this pack, there is a rechargeable battery that doubles as an LED light - it's very bright and perfect for tent and camping. The rechargeable battery can be used to recharge other items, like your phone, etc. Also, I didn't understand when reading the product review about the magnets on the strip of lighting. There are five magnets along the strip and you can slide them up and down to stick the strip on metal objects. It's very cool! I can see how this would be great if you were working in an area and needed light. As long as there was something magnets would stick to, you're in business. You can turn the LED and the light strip on, slip into the bag and carry it like a lantern. I'm very happy with this purchase because it's versatile and each item can be used in more than one way. I'm taking it on camping trips.
lights are almost too bright, battery pack feels cheap and doesn't last long

The rope light itself feels great, the length is perfect, the sliding magnets are awesome and work well with camping gear. The lights are BRIGHT! I found myself struggling to find a placement for the lights that wouldn't blind us during our camping trip, I wish there was a way to dim the lights or set a timer for them as the included battery pack feels cheap and doesn't hold much of a charge. The power switch on the battery pack is too easy to slide from position to position and reminds me of portable power packs one can find as an impulse buy at a grocery store check out lane, or even 7-11. I wound up using another power pack I've had for 4 years and used countless times, and found it worked longer than the included one. If your camping any distance from your car or a power source, plan on bringing extra battery packs or save some money and buy the rope light itself sans-pack.

Great lights

Great lights for power outages and camping. The only problem I encountered was the USB connection. It doesn’t “stick” and stay connected. If you bump it at all it falls out.
