Absolutely amazing gun... They didn't make pellet guns like this when I was growing up

This gun is truly amazing. Maybe it's just that they didn't make pellet guns like this when I was growing up. This is a real weapon and not just a little target practice toy. Pros: -Built like a tank. -Very accurate (took less than 10 shots to sight it in and it holds a tight group at 25 yards) -Very strong (7.6gr pellet went straight through a 1x4 board with no problem) -The scope is descent. It's clear, accurate, and seems to hold it's position Cons: -A little heavy (but as I said... built like a tank so what do you expect) -Has more recoil than I expected so you really have to hold it tight when you shoot (again... this isn't the toy pellet guns they made 30 years ago) -Legs have a little wobble -Takes a fair amount of effort to cock but that isn't necessarily bad if you don't want kids playing with it without supervision -A little louder than I expected. It sounded like a 22LR the first several times I fired it. I did some reading and found out that is called dieseling - small amounts of oil used in production actually ignite due to the heat generated by compression inside the air chamber. You need to fire it quite a few times to get it quiet down and then it isn't too bad. It still makes a little bit of noise but ok to shoot in a neighborhood. Just make sure you have something behind your target to stop the bullet because it will go right through a privacy fence with no problem. Overall, I am absolutely impressed. If you want a great looking gun for target practice or dealing with small nuisance animals then this is it.

its a decent gun

I'm rating this 3 out of 5 starts for a few reasons. First when I received the box it was covered in dust like it was sitting in the warehouse for a few years. No one wants a product like this that's a few years old. Second after I took it out of the shipping brown bow and grabbed the actual product box it was very soft like it was soaked completely through from moisture. I could literally open the box by poking my thumb straight through. (and I literally did). thirdly when I finally got to the gun itself it was completely covered in a watery oil that was on more they just the metal parts. it was on the plastic parts as well. I spent a half hour just cleaning off the oil from the areas it wasn't ment to be on. last but not least on the negatives is the scope. it isn't very powerful at all. its like a kids scope. I had a hard time seeing my target paper and its separate scoring rings at 20 yrds. So if you plan on shooting things further then 15-20 yrds I would suggest attaching your own scope rather then use the one provided. Some good things about this rifle is that I have put about 50 pellets through it so far and so far its doing pretty good. although it isn't getting a very tight grouping, (I don't know if its the rifle or the pellets that are causing it). The stock is pretty beefy and sturdy. I like the adjustable cheek rest. But my favorite part of the gun is the bipod. its adjustable and awesome. well that's it for my review.
