Dollar for dollar this is the best deal on the market for a home-based spin bike.
By Carl Melville on Reviewed in the United States on February 1, 2017
This new bike has compromises, but, compared to many higher priced models, will absolutely meet the needs all but the most demanding riders. Like many reviewers, I had checked out the Peloton bike. At $2,250, it was well outside my comfort zone. This set me on a quest for something moderately priced that would work with the Peloton app or other class videos. By adding the Wahoo cadence and HRM, an iPad bracket, an iPhone bracket, and a low-cost set of weights, it is possible to create a very low cost yet highly effective spinning solution. I am very happy with it. That said, it is not perfect. Here are the pros and cons so far: Pros: Delivered to the door. Gotta love Amazon Prime. Heavy flywheel. Heavier than Peloton. Heavy bike. This adds to stability. Rock solid even when cranking flat out. Easy to move around. I don’t need to move mine, but it is easy. Silent. Belt drive is extremely well done. Smooth as silk. Quality and feel of a good gym spin bike. Tension / resistance system. Simple but effective. It’s not magnetic nor digital, so you need to get a feel for it, but after a while you can dial it in quickly. Overall fit and finish are very good. Excellent finish, clean welds, etc. Easy to assemble. Screw on the pedals, connect the seat, bars, and two brackets. Done. 10 minutes. Cons: Dented frame and chipped paint from shipping damage. Not horrible and certainly not worth returning, but disappointing. Plastic sleeve for seat tube was not formed properly. It is strictly cosmetic, very hard to see, but would not be tolerated on a more expensive bike. This has no impact on the bike and is a minor point. Handlebars: they don’t slide forward/backward. At 5’6”, they are a bit too far away for comfort. The seat is properly forward and it is still a bit too much of a stretch to reach the bars. Not horrible but an inch and a half would be huge. Adjustments: The sure lock seat and handlebar adjustments are very solid and high quality. The problem is that the ideal seat height for me is in between the two closest settings. Again, not horrible and I am fine with it, but finer adjustment wold be nice. All in all a great bike for the money – and worth the difference compared to the less expensive Sunny models.

Pedal threads stripped; fell off mid-ride
By Kerry Elizabeth O'Donnell on Reviewed in the United States on March 23, 2020
I was so excited for this bike. Assembled it immediately and couldn’t wait to ride. Unfortunately, about 8 minutes into my ride, the left pedal detached. Upon further inspection, it became clear that the threads on the arm that the pedal attaches to were completely stripped. You can see as much in the pictures. I’ve tried to reattach the pedal to no avail. The threads do not match up to each other. The quickest fix would be for sunny health to send me a new arm and the proper socket wrench to remove the existing one. The nut attaching the arm to the bike is factory made and not detachable with a regular tool. Review could change based on customer service, but as it stands now, very frustrated I spent so much time assembling this and maneuvering it to proper place in my apartment only to have it break after 8 minutes.
