Perfect for walking or hiking!!
By BeatJunkie on Reviewed in the United States on May 30, 2016
Why didn't I buy this sooner? Because I didn't know they had them that's why! I drink a ton of water every day - and I carry a 40 oz. Hydroflask with me everywhere I go. I do have a little holder on the Hydroflask that makes it easy to carry it around, but this is even better. Way better! I especially like that I can use this when I go hiking which I do a lot of also. I love that I can take this pouch with me and can leave my purse or pack behind for couple of hours hike. This particular pouch comes with two pockets - brilliant!!The larger pocket allows me to carry a medium size tube of sunscreen (2.9 fl.oz) and my drivers license, a debit card and/or some cash. Basically everything I need to go for a hike. Or I can carry my cell phone in the large pocket with my drivers license, debit card, cash, some band-aids and some sanitizing wipes in the small pocket. The smaller pocket is perfect for your drivers license, debit card, cash and a key or two. When I take my phone in the large pocket I still take my sunscreen - I just fill up a small container (similar to one of those hand sanitizer bottles that has a carabiner clip) and attach that to the pouch. You can carry it over your shoulder or you can carry it cross the body - either way - it's adjustable and the handle also comes off if you want it to. The whole product is very sturdy, it's made well. I've been using it for several months and haven't had any issues with it. The zippers are still working just fine, and the material is perfect. The only issue I had was when I first bought it I wasn't sure that my 40 oz jug was going to actually fit. It was a bit difficult to get the jug into the pouch... after a bit of a struggle I was finally able to get it in and I haven't had any more issues since. I take it in and out of the pouch fairly often.I wish it came in different colors, but that's a trivial complaint. I couldn't tell you if this would keep your beverage any colder - my hydroflask does that on it's own... but I imagine it might help some. This was a great buy, it would make a great gift for someone who either does a lot of walking or hiking and drinks a LOT of water.

Has everything I want in a water bottle pouch, but there is room for improvement.

I was really excited about getting the JugLug given all the five star reviews, but once I received it I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed. Overall, it does what it is supposed to, but with a few adjustments it could be much better.PROS- Free Hands: The PocketNow I don't have to carry my water bottle in one hand and my phone and wallet in the other when I walk to the store or go to the gym. The larger pocket fits my iPhone 6+ well enough that I don't have to jam it in. The smaller pocket is just the right size for cash or a couple of credit cards.- Multiple Ways to Carry: Removable Shoulder Strap / Side Handle / Belt LoopI was using a Neosling before I bought the JugLug, and while I loved it, I never liked having the strap when it wasn't needed. I keep my water bottle on my desk at work and the strap was always such a nuisance. That's not a problem with the JugLug because I can remove the strap and use the side handle or belt loop to carry it around.- Snug: Neoprene Material / Neck DrawstringYou can rest assured that your 40 oz water bottle will never come loose. The fit is extremely tight (maybe a little too tight), but if it is not tight enough for you, you can always adjust it with the drawstring.CONS- Quality: Shoulder Strap / Plastic D-Rings & Clasps / ZipperFor starters, the shoulder strap is very thin and short (it extends from about 24-45 in, while my Neosling extends from about 15-60 in). I'm 5' 2" and the JugLug just manages to reach my waist area with the shoulder strap fully extended when I wear it crossbody style. I went on a one mile walk and I could already feel the weight of the fully loaded pouch on my shoulder, so I'm a little concerned how comfortable it will be to carry on a hike or something. Second, the JugLug uses plastic d-rings and clasps where my preference is metal since plastic can be flimsy. Last, the zipper on the smaller pocket is a bit fragile; it feels like it's going to break every time I tug on it.- Difficult to RemoveOne of the great things about this pouch is also one of the most problematic: the fit is just so tight I struggle to take out my 40 oz water bottle for cleaning. I try to hold on to the shoulder strap, side handle, or belt loop but after pulling so hard I'm afraid they will tear at the seams. Perhaps there's a better way of removing the water bottle, but I haven't discovered it yet.- SmellyThe inside of my JugLug has a pretty strong, foul smell (not sure of what). The smell even lingers on my water bottle once I take it out of the pouch. I'm hoping it goes away after a few days.I'll add a star after a couple weeks of use if it doesn't fall apart.
