My favorite jogging and exercise times are evenings and early mornings before sunrise. One week ago I tripped over a sidewalk gap and sprained my left wrist. It was a painful injury which could have resulted in broken bones. That accident prompted me to order this product in the hope of preventing future falls. I am delighted with this choice of headlamp for a number of reasons. My jogging and fast walking routes often take me over grassy athletic fields, often also used by dog walkers, as well as residential streets with few streetlights. Now, with the VICHELO® Model V800 LED headlamp, I no longer have to worry about unknowingly stepping into dog poop, or taking a fall due to and uneven sidewalk or other hazard. There are no more darkened streets. The choice of beam intensity provide clear and powerful lighting, added safety, and peace of mind. I can now enjoy my exercise more, with less stress or worry, and greater health benefits. The unit itself is well constructed and very easy to use. The beam can be adjusted both in brightness and direction of 3 angles towards the ground, with an audible click after each movement to direct the light. For my purposes, I've found that the low setting is too dim, but the medium setting works well. Bright is especially useful in very dark areas, and where the ground surface is uneven, or has more potential obstacles. I have also turned on the red LED, but personally prefer the white light. There is one small problem that I believe can easily be corrected, and have contacted VICELLO® customer support about this issue. As many of my outings are 2 to 3 hours long, I find that the headlamp leaves marks on my forehead, and this morning actually started to cause a headache which improved as soon as I removed the headlamp. I think this problem can easily be corrected with a small piece of memory foam or other similar breathable material about 3/8" to 1/2" in thickness and 1-1/2" high by 2-3/8" wide, exactly the width of the back of the unit. I was surprised that such a soft backing is not routinely shipped with this product. It would certainly be very useful, and more functional than the wristband which is sent with each headlamp, and I think it would also be a big hit with other users as well. That was my recommendation to the seller. Overall, this is an excellent product, and a small outlay that provides very big benefits.
