Comfortable, Sturdy and Lightweight

This is seat is a literal game-changer! Built very well, super comfy and light. Stays put on a bleacher seat. I got the small and I'm an average female about #155lbs and it's perfect. Comes with a shoulder strap but easily carried in one hand, too. So happy with this purchase!

What Happened???

We bought a couple of Cascade Mountain Tech stadium seats from Costco a few years ago and they have been great! When we recently needed an additional one, we bought it from Amazon. The new and improved version sucks compared to the old version even though they look identical at first glance. PROS (New Version) Made of aluminum so it is lighter Comes with a strap (for those that like straps) CONS (New Version) Thinner and softer rubber strips on bottom Large protruding rivets with washers to hold on the soft rubber strips Strap is not removeable Chair frame is less rigid (still functional, though) Rubber carrying handle is smaller and freely rotates/moves around Thinner fabric I love the older models, that's why we paid a premium for another one from Cascade MT. The older ones are slightly heavier because they are made from steel instead of aluminum. I didn't mind the extra weight because it kept your chair in place on the bleachers. The rubber is firmer and thicker on the older models and the rivets don't protrude. The end result is a chair that doesn't slide around on the bleachers even when no one is sitting in it. I never needed to use the bleacher hook to keep it from falling off the bleachers. Besides, the bleacher hook doesn't work on all types of bleachers. The new ones have large rivets with washers to hold on the rubber strips. (It looks like they added the washers because so many people were complaining about the rivets no being able to hold the thinner rubber strips on the bottom.) Because of this, the seats slide around with no weight in them. Now I have to worry about it moving when I sit down. I know many people like shoulder straps. I don't care for them as they get in the way when not in use. Other chairs have straps that clip on and off, but with these you have to take the chair apart with a wrench and screwdriver to remove it or add it back on. There's a rubber sleeve for a carrying handle on the chair. On the old one it is twice as large and doesn't slide or move at all. On the new one it moves around and is smaller in size. I have to occasionally move it back to center so the weight of the chair is evenly distributed while carrying it. I'm sure Cascade MT would say they improved the chair, but I say they cut corners and cheapened the chair. I even paid more for the new one than the old models. Very disappointing...
