Works fine if properly placed. No risk trying it as the customer service is excellent.

I have been struggling with forearm pains since I have started doing pull-ups. It feels like a golfer elbow syndrome. So I went on searching for anything susceptible to help apart from taking pain killers. Some people advised me to use patches, heat patches or patches with menthol or other medicine but it did not really help. I am now currently testing the Simien Tennis Elbow brace and a copper sleeve to see if they can help. Here is what I now think of the Simien Tennis Elbow brace: What I like: - It works. You need to place the cushioned pad exactly where you feel the pain and it reduces the pain a lot and make the pull-ups feasible. - It is very well build. The Velcro are holding very well and do not seem to attract any lint or dust. - It is one size fits all because you can adjust it with the provided straps. - Excellent customer support. The owner will contact every buyer individually to send him the link (pdf file) on how to use the product but will also reply very quickly to any question/complaint. He even offered me a refund that I declined in view of a few of my comments. What I like much less: - It is not cheap. Granted that there are two provided and even a bonus wrist band for the sweat but the end result is still about twice the price of most competitors. When contacted, the company replied to this criticism that there was 100% refund in case of no satisfaction. I do believe them. - The French explanations in the back of the box are gibberish. Again, the owner apologized for the mistake from their part and told me that the French comment is going to be removed from the next batch. The decision was made before my criticism. - Because of its size and conception, one can only address either the Tennis or the Golfer Elbow pains. I tried to attach the two pads together but then it becomes too large for my forearm. If you are suffering from both pains in the same time, this may not work for you. On the other hand, it is rarely that the pain is suffered in the same time so you may be able to move the brace for different type of efforts. - Somehow bulky, it is a bit hard to wear under your sleeves and it may shift when you take your top off or put it on. In conclusion, I started with a doubt about the efficiency of the system and decided to try the copper sleeve instead. I find that both are somehow complementary. The brace, if correctly placed works in relieving the pain instantaneously during the workout but is not convenient to wear on every day basis. The sleeve helps recovering from the workouts but does not alleviate the pain as efficiently as the brace does. In the same time, you can wear it all the time. So you should go ahead and purchase the Elbow braces. If it does not work for you, you can be sure that you will be refunded.

Not the right fit for me, but excellent customer service

UPDATE: wish I could do 2 reviews, so I can talk about their customer service. After my complaint, I was contacted shortly by their friendly customer service who was willing to offer alternate products and a refund, no hassle. That was a unexpected and pleasant surprise! I'd give them 5 stats in that regard. Product itself for me remains a 1 simply because it didn't function as needed. However, I want to stress quickly that, the star is a reflection of my experience, arm size, and use. Product itself does not feel cheap. I bet most people will like this product and find it beneficial. Why one star? The band comes with 2 straps for adjustable reasons. One I'd call large and one small. I'm a fairly big guy in the muscular sense (6 ft, 200lbs) and the small doesn't come close to fitting, yet the large is too large. If i want to wear it causual and loose, perhaps to play tennis, then maybe it's right. But I'm lifting weights and thus my muscle expands, and I want the band to stay firm to prevent the expansion and tearing. If I leave the band lose, it's too lose to keep firm. If I tighten the band... and this is where it's too large, I pull on the strap to wrap around tightly and what happens is by time the velcro is coming down on the strap, it over shoots the other velcro side and lands on the top of other strap... which doesn't hold. Flex, and pop, the band comes off. Again, don't tighten it, and it's not tight enough to function. I need a medium size Also, there's plastic buckles, which make contact and drive into your skin when arms are folder. Further, the band straps are too skinny so there's no holding power. The best part about order is the sweatband it came with because it holds my ice pack after the gym. To be fair... this is a 1 for me. For others maybe it deserves a 4. But for now, it's a waste of money. I'm gonna try and cut one side of band short so when I pull opposite side, there's more velcro space available. It's frustrating either wearing the band too loose, or "too tight" and it pops off when in use.
