great mug

Does not leak when i sip from hole in lid as other reviewer experienced. Hole in lid is large enough to insert straw.Really sturdy. Lid screws on nicely for tight fit.

The design is excellent and the lid is terriffic

Its OK, The design is excellent and the lid is terriffic, but the thermal efficiency just is not there. I filled mine with hot coffee and the outside of the mug became just as warm as a regular ceramic mug would have done. I called Stanley, and they were great, sending me a replacement with no hassle at all. However, the replacement has the same problem as the first. To me, the term "double wall" implies that there is an insulating vacuum in the space between the walls. And that is simply not the case with this item.
