Dr. Martens Men's Combs 8-Eye Boot5 B(M) / 4 D(M) US

It's no secret that I'm hard on my boots, but less than two years? The one on the right is brand new, same style. The one on the left... Only 21 months of wear and tear. My first pair of docs lasted me almost a decade but two years for these? C'mon! I had to spend money I honestly didn't have to get a new pair before my old ones completely fell apart and docs are all I can wear without any foot pain from plantar fascitis. It's the main reason I rely on Dr. Martens boots, pain relief. I wore them in the 90's as a teenager, but now I get them for foot pain. In the past, they could handle my constant movement and physical work without any change in the boot structure and support. The sole tread lasted much longer, and were my go to shoes for over 2 decades. I have been a staunch supporter of Dr. Martens over thise 2 decades give or take a month or two. So to have to buy a second pair in this style and the third pair in 5 years total, is a complete disappointment. Now, all I'm showing in my pic is the soles for a basis of tred loss comparison, the rest of the older pair are in much worse off shape than the soles. One lace eyelet completely ripped out, after it destroyed 7 pairs of laces from a metal spur on the eyelet. There's shredding on the toe caps, the left toe cap is exposed & where the top of the foot section meets with the bottom of the lacing, there's shredding from rubbing against each other as I walk. The inner heel cap is also shreded and almost exposing the heel of my foot on the right boot. I certainly hope this pair doesn't disappoint or my faith in docs will be completely tanked. I'll gladly spend the extra money for military issue boots at that point.
